Chapter 14 ~ Im going to kill him...

Veronica danced around Archie, wearing nothing but his shirt and her underwear as he played the guitar. She twirled around the garage. Then a knock came from the door. They both scrambled to put some clothes on. But when the door,  it was Jughead and Betty. "Woah, Archie." Jughead turned away. "Put some clothes in lovebirds." Jug said sarcastically. Veronica turned around and unbuttoned the shirt, then she slipped her t-shirt over the top and pulled up her jeans. Archie did the same, taking his shirt back. "We came to watch movies, we didn't know we were getting a show of our own." Jughead joked, but Betty hit him hard in the stomach. "What was that for?" He asked. "Leave them alone." she winced. "How are you feeling V?" Betty smiled walking over to Veronica. "Better." She looked to archie who gave her a wink and they sat on the couch, the boys sat on chairs. "What do you want to watch?"

As the boring movie played in the background Jughead and Betty lay in the couch cuddling. Veronica lay comfortably on the chair and Archie walked back into the garage. "She's asleep." Jughead said nodding to Veronica. "She just drifted off." He said. Archie scooped her up, and gently placed her on the pull out bed. He pulled a blanket over her and made sure she was comfortable. He lent down to kiss her on the forehead but as he did, her lips met his. "Thanks." She said as she pulled away.

Archie chuckled, "Anything for you babe." He walked over to Jughead and Betty, "Keep an eye on her, I'm going out." Jughead nodded.

Archie reached trailer and walked around to the back area. FP sat sharpening a knife, surrounded by a bunch of Serpents who looked...angry. "Alright then, we're going through with this?" Tall boy asked as he pulled his knife out of his pocket. "What's the plan?" FP asked him. The serpents gathered around. "This Nick St.Claire guy, he hurt Veronica, not only that but he killed Sweet Pea." The other serpents looked saddened by his name. "We need revenge." FP shouted. "He's being transported to a prison in New York in two hours. I say, we ride up stop the truck and pull him out. Then we take care of him." Archie proposed, he knew Veronica would be pissed at him for doing this, but she didn't need to know. "We don't hurt any innocent people though." Archie said pointing to FP. "Deal, we just want blood for blood." They stood up, grabbing baseball bats, and knives, and guns. And quickly they walked off, pulling on black masks.

Jughead lay cuddling Betty, then he saw something on the news. "Two hours ago, Nick St.Claire..." Woah. He thought he found the remote turning the television up. "The police van transporting him was attacked by hoodlums in black masks." Veronica stood up and walked over, "What the hell?" She whispered. "The hoodlums didn't harm any of the officers and instead shouted. "He's ours! He deserves to pay! Blood for blood! For Sweet Pea!" As they pulled Nick from the vehicle Police officers were told to keep going. Nicks body was later found in sweet water river, beaten to death." The news reporter announced. Veronica felt the tears in her eyes become heavier. "I am going to kill them." She mumbled.

Archie opened the garage door, trying not to wake them. Little did he know, they were already awake. "Jug? Where's Ronnie?" Archie asked, seeing Only jug sitting on the ouch. "She went to Betty's. She's gonna stay there for a little while."
Archie was confused, "Why?" He asked.
"Because of the little stunt you pulled. She's pissed Archie, wouldn't you be?" He said standing up. "You know?" He said confused. "It was on the news jackass. You didn't think it would go unnoticed did you?" Archie shook his head. "I know, Okay? But I need to talk to Ronnie."
"Yeah, well she doesn't want to talk to you." He scoffed. "What do you mean?" Archie said turning around.
"What do I mean? Archie you could have gotten arrested! Worse than that you could have gotten killed! You scared her to death when she heard the reports."
"I did it to get revenge! For her and for sweet Pea!"
"I understand Archie, but your not a serpent. Your not as tough, your not as brutal!"
"Well I need to be able to protect Veronica!"
"What?"
"Make me a serpent."
"Are you insane? Do you know how many beating you have to take to become a serpent? You don't have the guts archie."
"Are you kidding me?"
"No archie. I'm not kidding, it's a brutal world out there and Veronica needs you... for you. Not for some dark ass Archie who beats the crap out of criminals. Your not a mental patient! So don't act like one!"
"You know what... If you won't help me, maybe FP will."
"Archie, You can't."
"Why not?"
"Because Veronica would have to do the Lotalty Dance!" He shouted. Jughead was pissed, but more than that. He didn't want that for her. It was degrading and embarrassing and outdated.
"What the hell is that?" Archie asked.
"The woman of the relationship has to perform the loyalty dance, it's like the renewal dance. It's to promise to be loyal to the man, that's why I keep Betty away from this life." Jughead admitted.
"What is the dance?"
"Do you remember, the night of your first date? Veronica was on stage. I couldn't watch."
"She has to do that again?"
"Yes Archie, and it would be your fault. But this time she would have to dance around you."
"Jug-"
"Unless you want that... you don't become a serpent."
"Jug!"
"No, Archie. I won't let you do that to my sister. Not again. It's outdated and gross and makes the woman feel like crap."
"Fine Jug. I won't do it."
"Thank you, Archie, thank you."
