Running that's all I ever do, I run from my grandma's death, I run from the teasing at school, I run from my problems. Currently I'm running from them. They have twisted arms, a hairless body, and a thirst for blood. And they just killed my best friend. My best friend. My best friend. They just ripped her head off. What will I do without her? What am I doing? Oh right, I'm running.

***************************************************************

It seemed like a good idea. My family's poorer than dirt, so my sister my best friend and I went to the lab. Everyone in town thought that the white windowless building would be some kind of club or a lair or some stupid sh*t like that. I personally thought it was a brothel, but no it's a lab "Aplinakary Testing Facility", that's a mouth full. We entered the building to find a perky receptionist at a small rounded desk.

"Hi there, welcome to ATF the-"

"ATF?"  I asked, feeling a bit bad that I interrupted her.

"It stands for Aplinakary Testing Facility! What can I help you with?" she asked way to perky. I pulled out a piece of crumbled news paper and handed it to her.

"Oh, you're here for the tests?"

"Yup, all of us." I point to Brenda, my friend and Chrissy, my sister. She pointed to an elevator, and elevator that would almost kill me and save me at the same time.

***************************************************************

We got on the elevator and I noticed that the buttons for the bottom floors were covered with white strips of paper. Huh. I thought, probably for the other testers to know where they're going. Brenda jabbed her finger into the second floor button. While waiting for the elevator to move I begin to hum the theme song from a show I watched. I was trying to remember the last words when the elevator jolted to a stop, Chrissy jumped and Brenda fell down. "Well that was a harsh stop" says Brenda as she picks herself up.

"No that can't be right." says Chrissy as she walks toward the buttons. I begin to pay attention and notice that Chrissy was right, the second floor button wasn't red or flash in at all, none of the buttons were."We must be in between floors."

"Oh God, we're stuck in here?!" I shrieked at the top of my lungs.

"Are you claustrophobic?" asked Brenda.

"No, but I will be!" I began to get dizzy and nausea.

"WAIT!! Before you puke, a button is flashing!" said Chrissy as she pointed toward the 3b button.

"The basement? The newspaper said the second floor upstairs..." I said my suspicions rising about the already strange lab. The doors opened with a certain... creepiness to reveal a dark laboratory. "Talk about scary, it's absolutely empty in here."  There was only stools and long rows of desks with sinks built into them.

*CRASH BANG*

"HOLY SH*T!" Brenda screamed "WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT?!"

"Ow, no need to scream! I'm the one who got pushed over the stool." a guy's voice said.

"Woah who are you?" I asked trying to feel around with my hands for a light switch. And when I did I was not disappointed with what I saw. He had a hoodie and some jeans on and his face was oh so cute! Wait, what am I saying!

"I'm Kenry, and who are you guys?" he's eyed Chrissy longer, but still kept a suspicious expression. No wonder, Chrissy is drop dead gorgeous and I look like a mule with a blonde bun.

"I'm Brenda" she said "the tall one is Kylee" she pointed at me, "and the pretty one is Chrissy" Brenda didn't need to point. Chrissy instantly turned crimson and she looked down. She never really liked being called pretty.

"I'm guessing you guys are here for the testing too?"

"Yeah, but our elevator crashed down here." I say

"That's weird, cause that's the exact same thing that happened to me."
