I've always wondered, what would a zombie apocalypse be like? Would it be like the walking dead, or any other TV show? Well, we all know the answer now. It's been days since I last left my house. I know there's food out there, but there are zombies everywhere and I can't risk leaving Anette on her own. That's right, Anette. I have a little sister to look after. The problem is that I can outrun them fine, but it's getting somewhere they can't get into is what's the difficulty.
The way they see it is, they only have so many meals left on this planet, and they need to get to me before the others do. We need food as well. Anette is only young, and she hasn't eaten in six days. I give everything I can find to her. It's strange. After a while, you stop noticing you're hungry and just get weaker. We spend most of our days asleep. Sleep.
That's how it started. One man decided he would invent a drug (not medicinal, but like Heroine or Cocain) that can put you on the highst of highs, and then a deep sleep that would last for a week. his crazyy idea was the more people took, the longer they slept, the less they needed when they woke up. He didn't know people. They took more just because they could. Because it was cheap, and they needed their drugs. After that, it played out like most zombie apocalypses would. You know the drill, becomes airborne, people start getting zombie - like qualities, their flesh melting off as they become addicted to another new drug. Human. And here we are, surviving like all the others.
But we aren't special, we're just lucky I guess. Lucky that Mum and Dad left us here when they heard about the disease, lucky that no-one's found us, lucky about so many things. Mum. Dad. Oh god, they must be dead. I hope you, whoever you are, can still read this, it's hard to see my writing when tears are on the page. I'm sorry.
