Hello
Hello?
There was no response...
Only the sound of water dripping, plop, plop. Nobody ever answered, not once. Yet, I still called out in hope that one day someone would answer. I was foolish to think of such things, I knew I was always alone. Nobody cared for me, I was always alone. The world had already died out long ago. Strange to think that such creatures were the same species as me that they had used all of their natural resources. Not a moment of hesitation, after all of their warnings. They killed their own planet, Earth, it was so pretty too. I sat still in my little cage, hearing the water still dripping from the ceiling of the prison, plop, plop. I've been stuck here for a while, I should get out of here to achieve my goal, my dream. It seemed like a distant memory now, my revenge all just a blur in my mind. Oh? How did I get here, strange...I can't remember, anything. I tried to move but my hands, they felt like lead, I looked down to see chains. Seemed like the chained me to the ground, that's not too much of a surprise. Seeing as I am in a prison after all, but why was I in here, that's the question I'd like to answer. Footsteps were heard in the distance, they sounded heavy like those of a knight's covered in full metal armor. Clank, clank, they sounded quite distanced, this person clearly wasn't in a hurry. I held my breath, listening to the sound of the walking. They're becoming louder, meaning whoever this newcomer is walking closer. Until the abruptly stopped, then the sound of keys was heard jingling outside of my cell door.
"Who's there? Are you going to hurt me, if you are, please do it quickly," I said.
They said nothing I heard the padlock click, signaling that it was unlocked, and they stepped in too. How bold I thought, then I heard the chains on my hands unlock too. Are they breaking me out? I wondered about this before they roughly pulled me up. Making me stand, this could go either way now, either I'm getting out of this disgusting place or I'm getting executed. They continued to pull me by the arm to where ever we are going. It seems to be down halls, left, right, right, left, after a while, I got lost of which direction we are going.
"Can you tell me your name? Or mines, I can't remember mine," I asked, once again there was no reply.
We continued to walk through many halls until we stopped, I heard some doors opening and there was a gust of wind when the doors opened. Then I could hear the sound of engines and flames. Yes, I was free at last, however, who would break out a criminal like me? Well, I think I am one, after all, why would I be in a prison. I would like to know who this person is who freed me, it was quite nice of him or her. I could feel the warmth, the sun. It was nice, I was in that prison for so long that forgot, yet I can't see anything. It was all black, the darkness engulfed me, oh right I almost forgot...I'm blind. The unknown person gently pushed me towards a direction, they must know that I was blind. So this person must know me then, the people back in the prison clearly didn't know. Then again, they were pretty dumb too. I was guided to a chair, no a seat of some sort of vehicle while the mysteries person sat next to me. Most likely the driver seat, and the vehicle started to rise off the ground, the engines started to hum. Ah yes I know this feeling all too well, we are in a spaceship.
"Why did you save me? I know you won't answer, but I'm willing to take the chance," I asked once more, but to my surprise, they answered.
"Hmm it seems that you don't remember, I'm not surprised. They aren't one to take chances, after all, you're a friend of mine," the man said, I could tell by his voice, it was soothing.
The man continued to drive the spaceship forward and I could tell that it started to move faster from the acceleration. I guess my savior is my friend, how ironic I thought. I laid back in the seat relaxing into the feel of the leather, it was good quality. I started to doze off until a voice broke the silence.
"You should get some rest, it'll be a while before we arrive there," the man said, "you can call me Alton," the man said, or now known as Alton.
I nodded before getting comfortable in the seat and let my mind wander before falling asleep to the low hum of the engine of the spaceship.
