Abused for love?

Chapter 1: Backstory

     "Kara run!" her mother said as she fought off the enemy invaders. "No! I can't leave you!" Kara replies. "If you don't our entire race will be wiped off the face of Norabatron !" "I love you so much," Kara says as she kisses her mother on the cheek. "I pray to Rao you find each other. I love you," Astria says before the invaders burst the castle doors open. "Run!"

     Kara runs to the castle's back door, then looks back just in time to see her mother get stabbed in the stomach with a copper sword laced in lead, because it was the only thing that killed them, except Kara. It weaken her as it blocked her x-ray vision. "Mom," Kara says.

"Princess Exorcist. Follow me, we have a pod waiting your arrival," said a castle guard. "My mother, the queen,she's...." Kara started. "I know, but my duty is to protect you. Your mother may be gone, but because of you our planet and race will live on. Now Kara we need to go," he says as he grabs her arm and helps her in the pod. "Tell everyone I will be back," Kara says as the pod takes off into space.

Kara's pod was revolving in a constant pattern for years until and unbalanced force caused her to crash course on the planet earth. Where she was put up for adoption. Due to her not aging in space, she remained an 5 year old. A man named Josh Temple adopted her, along with a woman his wife, London.

Life was good until London fell ill and died months later. Josh could not take his wife's death, and the fact that his daughter did not belong in this earth, that she would never be normal and he started drinking.

     With his intoxicated self he would blame Kara for her mother's death, beat her. And after a matter of time she did too. But not her adoptive mother, London's death. But her mother Astria's.
           But this was only the beginning.
