author's note: merry christmas, perkz! just wanted to make something for one of my favorite people who I met over an obscure obsession. I couldn't be more appreciative.
To your dismay, it was another work day. The holiday season was over, and it was now time to get yourself back behind the register helping unworthy rude folks at Kohl's. If anyone would ask your work experience, you'd say without a doubt retail is by far the most stressful thing a person could work in. Thankfully, you had rough skin and no rude costumer could phase you... except for one exceptional individual. An old man.
He'd usually come in drunk, slurring his words and grabbing miscellaneous products to buy. It left you in confusion, but that's not what got to you. It wasn't his impoliteness, or the unnecessary swearing he'd throw towards you. It was his silver fox appeal, alongside his egotistic attitude towards everybody. It was surprisingly attractive.
Each sentence slipped out with stutters, and your eyes would focus into his without realization. "M-me pay tax for this?! I... I'm fucking Rick Sanchez! I'm much better than having to pay $1.20 tax for a pack of screws! I can go to different dimensions and times in the blink of an eye w-without having to even think about it! Absolute bullshit!" As he burped, his vodka breath met your nostrils, you shivered. You took in a steady breath and prepared to speak. "Mr... Sanchez, was it? It's required by law and common sense to pay tax alongside the price of everyday items." You sighed.
He placed his hand in front of the counter. "Look: you and I both don't have time for this. I-I have to be off to the Messier 81 galaxy in about five minutes, and I'm a few cents short. If anyone shouldn't have to pay taxes, it's me. Y-you won't believe how much I've saved everybody's asses on this fucking planet; shit the Milky Way! I feel like this could be a, I don't know, a small 'thank you' on this primitive planet's behalf?" He took the bag in his grasp, pulling out his portal gun and opening up a gateway to another land in a zap. He stepped one foot in, and you reached your arm out in hesitation. "Wait, Mr. Sanchez!" You exclaimed. He turned, pursing his lips and raising a brow in question. "I got you covered. Don't worry about it, sir." You smiled in delight, hoping to gain his approval. His expression became blank. "Y-yeah I already knew that, but t-thanks anyways." Within a flash, he was gone.
Your heart raced every minute you were in front of him. His scent lingered in your presence still, which caused a noticeable reaction of pleasure. There was no denying you wanted to see him again, and that you were going to anytime soon. You'd remember this moment for a long time.
