_______

I made my way quickly down the steps, Trying to pull my blue high top converse on.

Nearly tripping and falling to my death, I sighed.

I was late yet again. But, today it mattered. It was the last day for testing, as summer break was officially taking off tomorrow.

"Y/n! Hurry!" My older brother yelled as he stood at the door.

He agreed to drive me if I gave him my last $20 I got for my birthday a few days ago.

"Shit! shit shit shit!" I said as I rolled my eyes, forgetting my backpack.

"Hold on!" I yelled running back upstairs.

I grabbed it and quickly ran back down.

"Got everything?" He asked.

I stopped and looked at him, mentally checking everything off.

"I think so!" I said.

We pulled up to the school and I quickly got out.

"Get a tardy slip!" He yelled as I scurried from the car.

"No time!" I said hopping the fence to get to the class quicker.

They usually messed around for the first 15 minutes of class, as the teacher was late too.

I ran into the classroom, literally jumping into the chair and trying to catch my breath.

"Y/n?" The teacher called for attendance as she sprinted into the class. I was first on the attendance sheet, as she purposely made it that way knowing I was always late.

I slowly raised my hand, "Here!"

She looked at me with a frown. It's become a competition between us, to see who gets here first.

She got it like 2 times.

"Jesus, hotstuff. What happened to you?" I heard from beside me.

Looking over I saw the dork with giant glasses everyone calls 'Trashmouth Tozier'.

Rolling my eyes i took one last deep breath, ignoring him.

"Silent treatment?" He asked.

I looked over at him with a straight face, and he smirked at me, then turned back to the front of the classroom.

"Okay! Test time! Those of you who are finished can go to the quiet corner and do a silent activity." The teacher said grabbing a stack of papers.

More than half of the class jumped up and ran to the back of the huge classroom.

I noticed mostly the bad or troubled kids sitting still, Richie and I being amongst them.

"What the hell. If anything I thought you'd be one of the firsts to finish." I said to Richie.

"I'm not that smart." He said.

"Yeah, I know. But you are fast at guessing." I smirked.

"Ha ha ha, very funny. No, I have to pass this one. That's why I only got 4 questions in. You weren't here and I needed to copy off of you." He said.

"Wow." I said turning to the teacher as she handed me my paper.

I immediately started, seeing as how I had only an hour to complete 60 questions. I need to pass too.

Not even 3 questions in and I already see Richie out the corner of my eye peering over my arm.

"Make it any more obvious, why don't you." I whispered not looking up at him.

"Hey, I'm just comparing our answers." He whispered back.

I shook my head, chuckling.

"What's number 37?" He asked.

I shrugged, "Guess."

"Come on....please." He begged.

"Tozier, you ever think 'damn how much easier tests would be if I actually payed attention'?" I whispered, looking at him.

"How can I pay attention when you're sitting beside me?" He winked.

"God, you are disgusting." I scoffed.

"You love it." He teased.

"No. I love how your brain power is weaker than a can of coke's and how I feel like Einstein when I'm around you." I mouthed.

"Just tell me the damn answer, y/n." He sighed.

"It's -76 dumbshit." I smiled.

"Thanks, princess." He smirked writing down the answer.
