Chapter 6- You love making him mad

Brenda's POV

Lucas locks the car with the keys and hands them to me before opening the door allowing me to go in first. 

It's the same as it was 4 years ago, young teenage boys and young men working with hoes walking around half naked or completely naked. This is why I always hated this place, I never liked when Lucas would come here without me because these girls in here have no respect for themselves and definitely no respect for our relationship.

Lucas and I say our hi's before I just walk back to King's Office. I knock twice before he yells a "come in" I come in with Lucas right behind me and step to the side allowing the two hoes to leave out 

"Hey Lucas." One says while twisting and playing with here hair. 

"Hey Lucas, long time no see we should catch up a little later if you not busy." She says. I don't even give Lucas time to respond. As they walk by they made sure to brush against him and this one had the nerve to put her hand on his arm.

"Mmmm that's too bad sweetie he won't have any time for that but you should go out there and see if any of those niggas need your assistance, if you know what I mean." I say with an attitude and my arms crossed. Everyone got the fact that I was indicating she was a hoe. I wish she would jump I've wanted to fight ever since I got back. 

I roll my eyes as she scoffs and just walks out with as attitude but she makes sure the close the door so she don't have no problems with KING. 

I don't even look at Lucas because I just made a huge mistake. I showed my jealousy and now people will really think we should be together since we both want each other. But no, I'm not putting myself through anything like that again. 

King chuckles and opens his Mouth to talk.

"Well Brenda I see you haven't changed." He says with a smirk on his face, because I basically just showed I still have feelings for the man behind me. 

"As much as I would love to sit here and catch up with you, we have an audience-" I say and point to Lucas who looks care free and content. "-So what is it exactly that you want?" 

"I want all four of us to sit down and have a conversation." He says while getting up and we follow him to the nice fancy room where they have their meetings and do their deals. 

"Four?" I question as we walk in the room but the door opens and reveals Cordell sitting on one side of the table. Why did I have a feeling it had something to do with him. 

When Lucas sees him his jaw clenched and grips my wrist. His face starts turning a little red too. Fuck, this isn't a good sign. King sits at the head of the table while Cordell sits on one side, and Lucas along with me sit on the opposite side. 

"Hey Brenda, you look gorgeous as always." He says which makes Lucas grip on me tighter. I just give him a small smile and a thank you. 

"Ok guys here is the deal. I want to properly introduce everyone. Lucas meet my nephew Cordell, Cordell meet Lucas, my ex-worker, ex-right hand man and a kid that has grown to be like a son to and meet Brenda, the girl that has grown to be a gorgeous woman also like a daughter to me. Now that you guys see your positions do you see why I can't let you guys kill each other." 

Nephew? Wow, he got one fine ass nephew. 

"Yeah I see King." Cordell says while smirking at Lucas. 

"Nephew?" Lucas says with his fists clenched and King just nods.

Cordell sends a wink my way and I blush while looking away. I didn't think Lucas saw that until he slams his fist down on the table.
