Numb

You sit there alone, your thoughts in your head
Thinking to yourself, you wish yourself dead

To escape those thoughts, you turn yourself numb
You push away others, even though they already wouldn't come

"It's a wondrous cure." You say aloud
But yet with it, you push away crowds

It's not the answer, but you try once more
After a few weeks, you'll end up dead on the floor

People try to help, but they just don't understand
It's a statement, a comment, a useless command

They say it'll get better, they offer rewards
You don't believe it, you think they're just useless cowards

If they weren't so scared, they would try to help
Yet they hide behind their words, those useless whelps

You start lashing out, stating useless things
Why do you do this, everything stings

It isn't the cure, don't ever try
You might think it is, but it's better to just sit and cry
