Rebbecas POV
We were finally here here in Cali, I walk out of the jet breathing in the fresh Cali air I missed home. I get in the car Diego following behind we make our way to my house, Diego left his car there so might as well. We arrive and his security's bring our bags in, I instantly got a Message from Layla.
Lay: Meet me at oaks park in 20 minutes
me: okay
I decide to change clothes and put on a Xanarchy hoodie with sweats, then Diego walks in
"Where you going?" He says with a confused look
"I'm meeting up with Lay" I say throwing on a beanie
"I'm coming wit you" He insisted but I denied.
"No babe, I want Layla to be able to feel like she can say anything and not feel limited to her words, I know there's something up and she needs my help" I said in a soft tone looking at Diego, he walks up to me and kisses me slowly well that was random but I don't question it and kiss back. We let go and he looks me in the eyes, I felt as if I was melting away.
"Dam shawty I'm really falling for you more every second your so caring I love that shit" He says still staring at me, I look down and blush I couldn't help but smile.
"I feel the same baby, okay i'm gonna go now i'll be back soon" I peck his lips quickly grab my skateboard and head out
"BE SAFE BABE" I hear him shout. I skated to oaks park it was like 2 mins away from my house so I arrived quickly, I look around to see if I spot a Layla and I did so I walk over to the bleach blonde hair girl, she noticed me walking up to her and turned around. I was baffled. She had bags under her eyes as if she hadn't slept in years, Her left cheek was bruised and the inside of her eye was bloodshot as if a blood vessel popped and someone punched her, she looked as if she was suffering. I instantly pull her into a hug and cry, she breaks down in my arms. I have to be strong for her.
"LAYLA WHO DID THIS TO YOU BABY" I say holding her shoulders looking at her
"S-ski M-mask" She said her voice breaking, I was FURIOUS. That dickhead, how dare he touch my BESTFRIEND, my SISTER.
"LAYLA why didn't you tell me I would've took you with me, you don't deserve this" I say crying, she looked down in shame
"I-I'm sor-ry B-bec" she said crying more, my poor best friend.
"Don't be it isn't your fault come here" I grab her hand and sat her on the bench I made her explain to me everything that was happening at home, she was being abused, she wasn't even allowed to eat only clean, whatever ski mask needed she had to fulfill or he'd hurt her. She was only 2 months pregnant and she was scared that she'd lost the baby already after he punched her stomach last night, oh I was furious I don't doubt if flames came out of my nose at this point. I was not letting her go home to him I don't give a fuck.
"Lay you are coming back home, with me." I said sternly, she had worried written on her face
"Becca I can't he'll get mad and probably kill me." She says looking down
"Girl the only one doing the killing here is me and If he even gets close to you or touches you i'll kill his ass. BLOODY COLD." I said, she was surprised but she believed me after all she only felt comfortable with me so she agreed putting her trust in me and I wouldn't let her down. I grab my skateboard and lock my arm with hers and we make our way home, I managed to cheer her up on the way back she was actually laughing I was happy that I can do that for her. We finally arrived and I walked in, I saw Diego watching tv and he turned around with a smile on his face but it instantly faded when he saw Layla, he quickly got up and ran to us.
"ARE YOU GUYS OKAY?" Diego says touching my face and looking for any marks
"I'm fine babe" I say
"Layla what happened I swear to god i'll kill anyone who did this to you" you can tell Diego was really pissed off, he was very caring he knew how much Layla meant to me.
"It was Skimask but i'm fine now Diego, thanks" she said looking down she was in shame but she had no reason to be.
"No i'm not letting this slide" he said storming upstairs, I took Layla to her room so she could rest. I went back down and got her water and soup. When I walked in her room she was holding her tummy crying. It was so sad, I sat the things on the night stand.
"Don't worry love i'm taking you to the doctors tomorrow I assure you the baby is fine" I say I kiss her forehead and her tummy, she smiled.
"Eat and get some rest i'm gonna have a chat with Diego i'll be back to check on you." I said she nodded in agreement and I made my way to my room, Diego was getting ready. I was confused.
"Where are you going?" I say in confusion
"I told you i'm not letting this slide, I'm beating that guys ass tonight" He said looking around for his shoes
"No baby, what if something happens to you i'm gonna take care of this" I said
"Hell nah ma you not doing nothing but staying home let me take care of this" he said sternly
"Babe please at least let me go with you I wanna beat his ass too for what he did to Lay" I say hoping he'd give in, but I was wrong
"Nah baby, i'm not putting you in any danger I got this don't worry I promise i'll come back and i'll be fine." He said walking up to me giving me a kiss, kissing my nose then my forehead. I sighed. There was no getting to him.
"Okay fine, please be safe" I say totally not being ok with this, he nodded in agreement and went down stairs I followed him to the door and he gave me a kiss before leaving. "please take care of my baby" I whisper to anything up there that'd be listening hoping it'd hear me. I go to check on Layla and she was sound asleep, I'm glad she was with me and safe. I go down stairs, and plop myself on the couch I couldn't help but think about Diego. So I texted him.
