Royalty - Ruby x Sapphire

Chapter one

Sapphire's PoV
"Morning, mother!" I called out to my mother as I wandered down the staircase, she instantly looked towards me and grinned.

"Morning Saphy!" She always insists on calling me by my nickname "How is your day going so far?"

"It's bitter outside and there's no sun in sight, why wouldn't my day be great?" I sung.

She laughed in response as she began to comb through her long icy hair, everybody says that I inherited my beautiful hair from my mother.

"I'm going to take a morning stroll, would you or father like to join me?" I asked my mother, glancing at her and then at my father who was writing down notes in his business book.

"Unfortunately I can't!" My father responded "I have a very important business meeting with the frost kingdom"

"I would love to, but I have to go to market to buy some frozen sushi. I have to make a good impression when the frost king and Queen come!" My mother chimed as she picked up her basket and grabbed her leather purse.

"Ok, I'll be back in an hour!" I responded as I gracefully skipped towards the door and opened it, letting the lovely cold morning wrap me in its embrace.

"Today's going to be an amazing day, I can feel it!" I chimed as I walked towards Icetown.

Sorry this chapter was short but it's just introduced the characters a little bit, the next one will probably be short too but after that I promise they'll be longer!
