the elder had ran to the little apartment that was shared between jeongguk and hoseok, despite the fact that jeongguk and taehyung were dating, and had been for a while. the building was an old, bricked, yet surprisingly large complex that stood out from the rest of the town. on both sides were alleyways, with the walls covered in graffiti of english words yoongi couldn't understand. as he walked into the apartment building, the atmosphere immediately changed from a cozy town to a run-down— well, apartment complex.
"hoseok?" yoongi called in a surprisingly calm tone as he stepped into the small apartment that was owned by hoseok and jeongguk. the floor made small creeks with each light step he took, worry still filling him as he moved on. "hoseok-"
"who- w-who's there," a soft voice replied. the voice was low and quiet, almost crackling through every syllable. a few moments later, a pair of watery brown eyes and orange hair poked out from behind the corner. to put it in more detail, the hair was ruffled and messy, while the eyes were puffy and horribly red. the figure soon revealed himself— a post-crying hoseok who look extremely different than a few years ago, according to yoongi.
"h-hoseok?" yoongi stuttered out of both worry and shock. instead of a proper response, the younger quickly approached yoongi and hugged him tightly, softly sobbing into his shoulder. "i saw the message in your texts. i was so dumb i should've seen something sooner i swear-"
as they pulled away from the hug, hoseok shushed him. "just don't ever leave me again."
and they kissed.
they were reconnected.
