Prologue
He's already with someone else. "May girlfriend na yun."
I think they're happy with each other's company. "Masaya na silang dalawa eh."
They're together for years. "Ang tagal na kaya nila."
I really like him but i don't want to be his mistress. I want him to be mine, only mine. What should i do? Should I wait? Should I make my first move? Should I just forget him? Or should I just give up?
Chapter 1
"Ms. Natalie, ano na po decision niyo?"
"Okay okay, don't reschedule the meeting. Tell them to get ready, I'll be in the meeting room in 15 minutes. Thank you Cayla." I hang up.
It's my secretary, Cayla. I have a meeting for an upcoming event. Ayoko na nga munang ituloy because I'm still stress but this is my chance to show my parents and family that i can run my own business. Pero kapag hindi ko itinuloy ang meeting today, the event planners might have a hard time fixing the event. So after cleaning half of my desk, i went straight to the meeting room. Phil, Roxanne and Lucie were already there. So we started the meeting.
The meeting went well. It was short but still I got what i want for my event. They're the best especially Phil, my gay friend. After the meeting, I asked Phil to come with me and have a coffee.
We both grab our purses. Yes, Phil also have a purse.
I ordered Hot Caramel Macchiato while Phil ordered Café Americano. We sat outside the coffee shop and had a little chit chat.
"Beks! Stress ka ba? You look so stressed today."
"Napansin mo? Yes, i'm so stress. Alam mo naman so many clients came today. I have to finish so many designs to prove my parents that i can run my own business. Alam mo naman na diba?"
"Hay, okay lang yan. Don't worry we'll help you. We're a team right? Keri natin yan. And more clients means more income. Pak!!!" He smiles.
I really love my gay friend! He never fails to cheer me up.
"Yes, thanks for being there. I really owe you and the team. Maraming weddings and parties this season, so we must stay focus. I really can smell stress from here." You can hear my stress voice while answering back to Phil.
"Baka ako lang naamoy mo." He laughed and i made an annoyed face. He continues "I know this is not a joke. Hayaan mo we can prove to your parents, family and the whole wide world that you can be serious now and na kaya mo ng mag run ng sarili mong company. We can do this, okay?"
"I hope so. Seryoso naman na kasi ako. Yes, I still go out every weekend to have fun. I still go to many places to relax, but while doing those things you know naman na I still can manage my small business. Why don't they see that?" Parang mas nadadagdagan ang stress ko. I think this conversation is getting serious.
"I know girl, they'll see your effort in your business maybe not now but soon they will. Wait wait... Enough! Hayy, ikaw talaga!!! nagcoffee break tayo to relax kahit sandali lang diba? So i think we shouldn't talk about this."
