Satine sighed as she stared out the window of her room in the senate building on Coruscant.

"He's just running late... no need to worry," Satine tried to tell herself. "Oh... but what if he's hurt? Or needs my help? Or..." Satine paused for a moment and gasped in horror.

What if he forgot...? she thought. "No Satine. Stop being so silly. He would never forget, never... I hope..." she said, whispering the last part.

Obi-Wan wished with all his heart he could be on Coruscant with Satine or at least tell her he would be delayed. Unfortunately, his wish didn't come true. While trying to infiltrate a Separatist base, the Separatists succeeded in shutting down all Republic communications.

Why can't the Separatists play fair for once? Obi-Wan thought to himself while trying to get the communications to work so he and his team could call for reinforcements and backup.

Oh wait, they're cowards. That's why. Obi-Wan chuckled to himself about his thoughts and then remembered Satine again.

"I'll be home soon my Duchess... don't lose hope yet..." Obi-Wan whispered to himself.

"Oh Obi... where could you be...?" Satine asked herself for about the thousandth time.

Satine raised her hand to her chin in thought. She smiled slightly to herself.

I've been spending so much around Obi-Wan, I'm starting to use his signature thinking position. Satine thought to herself, then sighed.

"I'd be even happier if Obi-Wan was here..." she said sadly. She walked closer to the room's big window, looking over Coruscant as she put her hand onto the cool glass of the window. "Where are you, my shining Jedi Knight...?" she asked herself.

"Obi-Wan!" Anakin yelled, running over to his old Master. "What is it, Anakin?" Obi-Wan asked sadly. "Are you okay? You sound upset. What's wrong?" Anakin asked, sitting next to his old Master. "Nothing's wrong, Anakin. I'm fine. Just... exhausted from all the fighting..." Obi-Wan responded.

Obi-Wan wasn't lying when he said this, he was indeed tired from fighting, but he was also worn out from thinking how disappointed Satine probably was and still is about him not being with her for Christmas.

Satine sat on the couch drinking a warm mug of tea. Maybe I'll see if Padmé is available to chat for a while.... Satine thought to herself.

No... she's probably busy... Maybe I'll listen to the radio... Satine put her mug on the coffee table in front of her and turned on the radio on the side table next to her.

"Which channel to choose..." Satine asked herself while flipping through channels. Just then, "I'll Be Home For Christmas" came on. "I guess this one is good," Satine said, tearing up slightly.

After the communications were back up, Anakin wouldn't stop pestering Obi-Wan about why he was so sad earlier.

"Come on... I know there's something wrong," Anakin said. "Anakin, I said it's nothing! Now quit bothering me!" Obi-Wan yelled, annoyed. Anakin then heard his transmitter beep. It was Padmé. "Be right back, I've gotta take this call," Anakin said before walking away to take the call.
