Chapter 3
Y/n POV:
Looking through my closet is like algebra, too difficult and is missing everything.
"Finally home!"
Huh?
"Jackson! Y/n! Your sister is here!" Dad calls from downstairs.
I go down the stairs like a roadrunner, and jump into Dean's hands.
Like she would when we were little, she catches me and gives me the tightest hugs ever.
"I'm here!" Jackson wraps his musical at arms around us without hesitation and wets my robe.
I wiggle my way out of the group hug, soaked and cold. I'm for sure going to be late for school today.
Surprising.
It's been months since Dean came home, and I couldn't handle any Jackson no more.
If you didn't know, Dean is a professional cheerleader for UCLA. Ever since I was in the womb, I could hear her feet hitting the floor after counts of flipping and flying in the air. She was more than committed.
"So, how's the Bruins?" I inquire as I grab my daily acai bowl, and flopped on the bean bag. I was still in a burrito towel, but I ain't complainin'.
"Oh my gosh! They're so dope like this football season has been one of the best. You should've came to a game." Dean continues to ramble on about cheer as we gobble our food.
The only reason I haven't went to a SINGLE game is because of my parents.
"Don't blame me." I point my chin to mom and dad.
"Young lady, you can't even clean your own room. How are we gonna expect for you to be safe flying alone and driving there?" Mom defends herself.
I shrug, "By coming with me and Jackson, duh. Plus, I have friends you know and it's not like we have a brother or sister that you have to look out for here."
Mom clears her throat at my request.
Did I say something wrong?
"Oh you know we can't do that with our busy schedule." Dad goes to mom's side. Who would've thought?
"How about clearing it? Ever heard of that?" I raise my brow, and they don't answer.
"You've got 27 minutes till first period Y/n!" Jackson yells from upstairs, warning me.
Oh sh*t.
I forgot about school.
"Mommy since Dean just came home, maybe you can clear up my schedule of going to school?" I grin at them, wishing to skip just one day of school.
"Funny, but no." Dad pushes me lightly up the stairs.
"Aw come on... Why can't I just drop out?"
My mom cocks her eyebrow at me, and that was a hint for me to go.

I wave bye to Dean, and her Range Rover.
I swear, our family is like obsessed with cars.
"Y/n! I love your choker." Keegan, a since birth best friend of mine, compliments me as I get to my locker.
That's one of them who isn't fake. Thank God.
