They raced through the streets of Seoul, dodging strangers, jumping over puddles from the rain that had fallen hours before, and crossing streets filled with headlights from the cars trying to get home to their families. Her breath shortened but her pace quickened as she noticed her destination. He saw his opponent catching up to him as they almost reached the convenient store but he wouldn't let her catch up. After getting yelled at for being reckless teenagers and being almost hit by a few passing vehicles, there was no way they would let the other win without a fight.

As he saw her shadow from behind he halted, knowing what was to come. The impact of their bodies crashing together caused him to stumble a bit but he didn't lose his balance. As she was about to sprint off, he grabbed her waist and pulled her into a hug. She gasped in surprise, not expecting such affection, especially since they were against each other just a few seconds ago.

She quickly caught onto his plan when he rested his chin on her shoulder and purposefully letting his heavy breathing fall on her ear.

Not letting anything else happen, she stomped on his toes with her heel and elbowed him in the stomach, sprinting towards the convenient store soon after. His groan in surprise and slight pain satisfied her after almost falling into his evil and slick scheme. She entered the store and howled in success as he followed in behind her.

"Look who's treating me to spicy noodles!" She cried, prancing about the aisles, looking for her favorite meal. "I'll take some banana milk along with that, thank you, sir," she gloated as she shoved the bowl of ramen in his arms.

He huffed in irritation and grabbed his own noodles from the shelf before walking over to the fridge and grabbing one strawberry milk and one banana milk. The girl went to sit down on the stool placed at the counter in front of the large window that spread across the wall of the small store. She swung her legs back and forth waiting for her food and squealed in glee as the boy placed the food down onto the counter.

"Whatever, I would've beaten you if you hadn't cheated," he shaded, sticking the tiny straw into the petite milk container.

The girl gasped in disbelief and hit his shoulder. "Yah, Min Yoongi, you were the one trying to seduce me, I repeat trying, that was a dumb move bud, very, very dumb."

He rolled his eyes and brought his hand up to the window, feeling it's cold temperature and shivering at seeing snow begin to fall. "Hmm, Eun Seong?" He said, not taking his eyes off the glass.

"What?" Eun Seong said dryly, while stirring her noodles.

"Come on, I'm trying to have a nice moment here, you could at least sound a little bit more interested in what I'm going to say." Yoongi spoke out, feeling irritated by her lack of sincerity.

"Oh I see, sorry," she cleared her throat. "Yes?" After that second attempt she began to fill her mouth with a pile of ramen.

He drew in a quick breath and clicked his tongue after hearing her words. "If only one of us passes the CSAT tomorrow," he paused and finally took his hand off the icy sheet of glass before him. "We have to be happy for each other alright? A lot of friendships are torn apart because of this test and—" Yoongi paused again making Eun Seong grow anxious of the remaining words about to be spoken. "and I don't want to lose you, got it?"

Eun Seong's heart beat broke out into a thousand beats per second. Her cheeks started to heat up as she stared at her best friend. The boy who took her hand and pulled her out of so many terrible situations she was once stuck in. The boy who brought her happiness, joy, and a chance to live a little and lighten up.

Coming from a strict family that worried about her grades more than her mental health only caused her to be stuck in a room if not at school and having books opened on every piece of furniture she owned. With papers over filling her trash can and hidden beneath her bed sheets, she was lost in her head and had only the facts she had memorized rather than her imagination that fought to escape its cage.
