Holding fast to Allah

INTRODUCTION

Assalamu alaikum readers Inshallah this book is going to be a series of events that our prophet ﷺ prophecised that would come closer to the last hour i hope we can all take something from it.

Holding fast to Allah

1. The leader of the truthful, The prophet ﷺ said. "There will constantly be a group from my umma holding fast to the matter of Allah. They will not be harmed by those who abandon them, nor by those who oppose them. This will remain their condition until the decree of Allah arrives" (Bukhari, muslim).

This is one of the prophecies from our Messenger ﷺ.We can see that ultimately the prophet ﷺ is trying to say that there will be a group of people who will always stay firm on the religion of Islam Evan during times of great difficulty and those people will not be harmed by anyone; not by those who oppose them nor by those who abandon them.

To define 'Matter of Allah' teachers of hadith have said it relates to the quran and sunnah, the correct teachings of Islam,struggling in the path of Allah, being sincere in everything we do and acting upon everything our prophet (s.a.w) emphasized on during his life time. All these actions fall under the matter of Allah and most of them aren't Evan difficult to act upon once you make the effort to improve yourself for the sake of Allah , Allah will help you on your journey InShaAllah.

In terms of the description of the group it's not a particular set of people according to the interpretations of the Imams they can be: teachers of hadith/quran,worshippers,fighters, commentators of quran etc.

The honour it would be to be amongst them. Do we not wish to be such people?

No matter how many people will oppose them they will have Allah and that's all that matters, isn't it? "If you have everyone's pleasure apart from that of Allah's then what have you gained? and if you have the Pleasure of Allah and not that of the people then what have you lost"-- (quote)

Evan by understanding this simple quote we can see how it is only Allah we need and it is him we need to depend on in this finite world because nobody can benefit us in the way Allah can. His power is limitless and he has control over everything. So it is his happiness we should be in seek of. In this society everyone has been made to think that the pleasure of everyone around them is what's really important and we've all become lost on our way by worrying about the way everyone thinks of us. Everything we do is done for many reasons except for the real reason we should be performing any action... for the sake of Allah.

We need to re-evaluate our lives and think in what way can any individual benefit us in the Aakhirah? At the end of the day we're all going to be in our own graves no classmate will be with us, no school peers are going to be with us, no family members are going to be with us just us and our deeds which we will be accountable for and they will all be in their own graves accountable for their actions.

Of course keep good relationships with those around you and respect everyone but always remember it is Allah that we need and him we need to bow our heads down to if we want to succeed in any way in this world and more importantly in the Akhirah and InShaAllah once we have Allah in our lives everything else will also fall into place
