It all started with her. Her lovely smile, her bright hazel eyes, her soft brown hair, her perfect laugh, her beautiful, perfect, gorgeous face!
Right when I saw her I couldn't ignore the feelings she struck me with. I love everything about Adeline.
We first met in 8th grade, I had heard that she was transferring to our school, I was hooked on her name, Adeline Fin. Such a beautiful name. Way better than mine, Zoe Alia.
I went into school on Monday, as always, and decided to dress as nicely as I could. I wore a white dress and black flats. The white collaborated nicely with my skin tone and lavender colored hair.
I couldn't wait to meet her.
I finally made it to school. There weren't any mobs of kids standing around shouting out questions so I guessed she wasn't there yet.
"ZOE!!" Someone yelled and jumped on my back causing me to stumble slightly.
"Ann?" I asked.
"Yep! You look beautiful today, what's the occasion?" She got off me and took my hand.
"Oh nothing." I smiled to myself.
Ann and I have been best friends since 3rd grade. We're both just big dorks who make eachother laugh.
Ann smirked and nudged me with her elbow, "You're not slick."
"Oh well, at least I'm not dumb!" I teased.
Ann raised an eyebrow and then stuck her tongue out at me. I decided the best way to respond was to flip her off.
"Mrs. Alia!!" My head snapped towards a teacher stomping towards me, Mr. Williams.
"Yes Mr. Williams?" I said in the nicest tone I could.
"Don't play dumb with me missy, I saw what you did." He fumed.
"Sir, I can assure you that I am everything except dumb. I was merely trying to get Ann her to pinkie promise me not to leave me when we get older." Then Ann pinkie promised me and smiled at Mr. Williams.
"Whatever." He huffed and walked away.
"Wow, how'd you come up with that bullshit?" Ann asked.
"Just came to mind I guess." I smirked.
Suddenly, the bell rang. Ann hugged me and I hugged back.
I grabbed some thing from my locker and headed to first hour, Science with Mrs. Hansen.
All I could think about that whole stupid hour was "Is she here yet?"
Second hour, World History with Mr. Jones. Third hour, Art with Mrs. Johnson. A blonde boy burst into Mrs. Johnson's classroom.
"Yes Bryce?" Mrs. Johnson asked.
"I need Zoe." He sighed. I perked up.
"Go ahead Zoe." I got up and followed Bryce.
"So you just have to show the new girl to her classes and you know, be her friend." My heart leaped.
"Alright." I smiled widely.
Bryce looked at me and raised an eyebrow.
"What?!" I snapped.
"Nothin'." He smirked.
"Well know you have to tell me." I stopped walking and crossed my arms, pouting. I didn't like Bryce at all. In 5th grade he punched me because I took his fruit roll up.
"Oh come on Zoe!" He complained.
"TELL ME WHY YOU LOOKED AT ME LIKE THAT!!" I yelled.
"Because you obviously like her!" He smiled smugly.
"N-no!" I blushed.
"Alright." He laughed.
We continued walking.
I walked in and saw her. My eyes widened. "How can she be that beautiful?!" I thought.
Bryce walked up to her and brought her over to me then walked away.
"S-so you must be Adeline." I smiled shyly.
"Yes, and you are?" She reached her hand out.
"Zoe." I grabbed her hand and shook it.
"Are you feeling alright? You're as red as a tomato!" She put her hand on my cheek.
"Y-yeah I'm f-fine." I stuttered.
"Good." She smiled sweetly.
"Fuck she's cute." I panicked.
"Heh, let's get started." I started to walk out the door. She followed behind.
Suddenly, I felt her grab my hand and get a little closer to me. Was she into me?!
I showed her around, told a couple jokes, laughed with her. She was so funny, and cute, just perfect.
