John's P.O.V

I've just left Denis and Jinx alone to their weird little moment thing, or whatever was going on there, to walk down the hall, fast approaching the doors I believe is Phoenix's room, but I don't get there first... A little before her door is a corridor opposite leading off somewhere, and out of there comes Pierce, pushing his hair back out of his face as he bites his lip, heading towards the doors. I slow my pace, watching him as he approaches, not having noticed me yet as I move towards the wall where it's darker thanks to the low lighting the chandelier is casting. My eyes remain fixated and heavy as he knocks on the door, entering with such confidence and without waiting for an answer, a bright smile pulling up onto his lips while he slips inside, closing the door behind him.

Anger floods my system while I find myself storming the rest of the way to Phoenix's door, my mind flooded with images of Pierce putting his hands on her, and whether it's in an aggressive or intimate way, I don't like it. I hate it. Only I can do that to her. Me, not him. My hands are in tight fists as they swing by my sides, my strides long and confident while I glare at the door, and just as I reach it's edge, it opens. "Wait, Phoenix, come on-!" Pierce is saying while she is pushing him out of the room with one hand, the other on the door, however I don't let him say another word. Before either of them have even noticed that I'm here, I grab onto Pierce's shoulder with my left hand, yanking him round to face me as his eyes widen and I bring my right hand back. Phoenix calls out as I punch him, gaining such satisfaction from the shocked look on his face as I move in, and then the feeling of his nose crunching so easily under my fist, and the noise of the bone cracking along with the loud groan of pain as he falls back.

I tower over it as it lays on the ground, sitting up on one arm while the other is using the hand to gently touch it's face, then looking at the bright crimson red blood that is left glistening in the warm but dull lighting on the fingertips. "What the fuck!?" Pierce calls out in shock while it looks back up at me, it's nose bent out of shape while the wide eyes clock onto mine which stare back with no remorse. I'd go further if I thought Phoenix wouldn't stop me. Back in my time, before I knew it was wrong, I'd hurt animals. I just wanted to see what was going on inside them, I was entranced with the way the blood would keep pumping out while the animal slowly died, and how the insides would move while I was pulling them out, and I wouldn't feel a bit of remorse about it, so what's to stop me now with this? I have nothing against the animals I caught, but I have something against Pierce, he tried his luck at getting too close to Phoenix. And she's the only reason stopping me from slaughtering this.

"John!" Phoenix calls out, and I feel both her hands on my arm as she moves into me, but I don't turn to her. "Stay away from Phoenix." I growl out in a hard voice, my nose slightly scrunched as I glare at it, the very woman trying to gently pull me back. "What business is it of yours if I'm with her or not!?" Pierce yells out as it sits up properly now, using both hands to try and wipe away the bleeding to no avail. I don't like how that sentence was worded. I feel the muscles in my back coiling and shifting under my T-shirt as I take a step forward, making it flinch back. "She's mine. Not yours." I growl out through gritted teeth, the sound rumbling in my chest, my fists still balled by my sides and muscles tight. "John, come on." At Phoenix's gentle prompt I start to back up, my eyes not leaving it's shocked face while the soft hands leads me through the door, which they then close.

"What the fuck was that!?" Phoenix yells as soon as the door is shut, leaving me to turn to her, and when I do I finally take in her appearance. Her dark hair hanging around her, framing her body and highlighting the contrast between her pale skin and the pure brilliant white silk of the nightdress she's wearing. The very short nightdress, the top half of which including the straps is made entirely of lace, only a slightly more intensely sowed piece making up a flower covering both her nipples. Anger bubbles more intensely in my stomach at knowing Pierce was in here, alone with Phoenix while she was wearing that. "You wanted him to leave, didn't you?" I ask, my voice still growling out while I stare at her, my eyes still hard. "Yes. But he was leaving. You did not need to punch him!" She yells back, her fists balled at her sides now while I keep staring down at her. "I would have done a lot worse if you hadn't wanted me to come in here." I say, my voice resonating in the back of my throat while her eyes widen.
