Summer to Remeber

Chapter 1

*AJ's POV*

*beep beep beep*

I awake to my alarming buzzing in my ear. 

"Only two weeks left then its summer." I told myself before smashing the off button and hoping out of bed. I walked over to my dresser and pulled out some Nike shorts and a basketball camp T-Shirt. I grabbed my favorite pair of Nike socks and headed to the bathroom to get ready.

After I threw on my clothes I looked in the mirror. I decided my hair looked terrible, as always, and threw it up in a ponytail. I brushed my teeth and headed out of the bathroom. I grabbed my phone from the charger and my backpack from the floor. I looked in the mirror on my wall one last time, then headed downstairs.

"Goodmorning sweetheart." my mom said cheerfully. She is always so full of energy and so happy all the time. I love that about her.

"Mornin' momma." I responded as cheerfully as I could, considering how early it was. I sat down at the table and ate some waffles my mom had made for me. They had extra chocolate chips, just the way I like 'em!

After I was done eating I headed outside to my car. I love my car, a brand new Jeep Wrangler. I hoped in an shoved my keys in the ignition. I headed to my bestfriend, Jenna's house. 

"Hey Jen!" I greeted her as she hoped in my car.

"Hey AJ! Thanks for the ride today, my car isn't working."

"I know. You told me twenty times." We both laughed and drove to school.

At school we went our separate ways to our lockers. I got my books for first hour and headed to my class. 

The first few hours of the day went by slowly. Finally when lunch time came around, I walked to Jenna's locker. She was there waiting for me. We did this everyday, after class we'd meet by her locker to go to lunch together.

"Hey! I have an idea for this summer." she told me.

"Okay what is it?"

"Let's go on vacation! Travel the country, just me and you! What do you think?"

"That sounds so fun!" I told her. "Let's do it! Where would we go?"

"Well I have the whole thing planned out already. That's what I did in my computer class this morning." she said and handed me a packet of papers.

"Woah. We're gonna go everywhere in this?" I asked holding up the packet.

"No! Pick three places then we will decide. I circled my three picks."

"Okay! This is gonna be amazing!" I said as we walked to the cafeteria.

"I know! I already talked to my parents and they said sure so ask tonight okay?"

"Okay! Let's eat I'm starving!"

"When aren't you starving?" she asked me laughing.

"Never!" I stuck my tongue out and laughed with her.
