Dusk till Dawn

A white robe gets placed on the table and then the price tag gets embedded onto it. Later, it gets displaced near the window for the passers by to attract them.

*sigh*

"That does it! I'm done for today." Valentina says as she does her work at the boutique owned by Mrs.Dominico,who is one of the prestigious and most often spoken person in town.

Valentina closes the entrance to the boutique as she leaves,locks it and awaits for her sister and her husband to take her back home. The carriage arrives a few minutes late and as Valentina gets onto it, she finds her sister smiling with a glow and her husband happy as much as her sister.

"Sara,what is the occasion? You two seem to be very happy!"

"I'm pregnant! Me and Jacob are going to have a baby Valentina!" Sara replies.

"Yes,Valentina! You're going to be an Aunt soon and me a Father."

Valentina becomes happy hearing this and she hugs her sister,Sara and says,"I'm happy for you,Sara! I really am!"

Valentina then leans back on her side of the carriage and looks out through the window,thinking deeply during that slow blue winter night.

It was the time of the great Renaissance in Italy. Many artists, politicians and philosophers and so called new age thinkers of that time are carving their marks in history to be remembered.

Even her sister and her husband did. They are starting a family.

What about Valentina?

Well,what about her?

Why is she sad now? It was obvious!

Jacob noticed this brush of sadness in her face and pointed out to Sara. Jacob travels a lot and it was no wonder as he was a rich young man with a many estates in his name. He said that Valentina's negative aura could affect the child in Sara's womb,according to Eastern thinkers. And he plans to keep Valentina away from his family.

So,within a day or so, Valentina was moved to the home owned by Jacob which was far away from the city. Valentina now lived in a village.

Is she now going to be happy because she can start a new life and be happy with a lovely village man?

She is indeed beautiful.

Anything can happen right!?

Or is Val doomed to meet evil people?

But,wait!!! We have not known Valentina at all! So,we cannot presume pessimistic stuff all the time,so let's give her a break and go into her past.

Valentina was one of the two kids born to her parents. Sara being the eldest. Valentina was a very curious kid. She used to think how the world operates and how she fits in and how she is related to the cosmos.

Pretty weird kid,if you ask me.

Her sister was liked by all the boys and she was famous and still is. But, not our pretty little Val. Her father was not present and when he did,he would command her to be so and so which angered Val. Later, fate struck her relationship with her father and he had to absent for a long time. Her Mother took up the role as a father and she took care of her.Valentina did not appreciate this,what her mother did as she subconsiously wanted her father to be his doing his role in her life. She was forced to be one among the people asking for help where her ego and self esteem was constantly being hurt unlike Sara's. But,Valentina got an idea of how people think and how to go about. She craved for true love and admiration. She wanted to be at home and be loved by her parents but fate was otherwise. She had to constantly battle with her family members for her place and she would think "if otherwise" had happened her life would have been different. Fate has looked away on her and she is suffering because of it.
