The child was happy till that day. She had friends a family, a home, everything she needed. So what changed? Her. Her head and her heart and her mind. The way she used to look at the world, so happy and full of hope, is gone now. Replaced by this empty girl, the girl who sits in her room and tries to cry, tries to feel, but just can't. And all we can do, is cluster outside the door, as we try to break down the walls that she built up so high, she can't even see the sun. You can watch her act, from far away, laughing and joking and all. She doesn't seem sad. But we know, we see the dull in her eyes, or the slight tremble of her hand. And we hurt and beg for something to change, for the meds to work, for her heart to feel. But as days pass, and she become number, all we can ask is "will she survive this plague in her mind. Or will she succumb to deaths icy grasp."

A/N: based on a true story of a true girl
Sincerely,
Me
