Getting to know each other at a small cafe, the boys laugh and have engaging conversation.
"So how long has it been since you came out?"
"Since I was 16."
"So...7 years?"
"Yeah..."
"Wow that's so brave of you...I really don't know what I am...everything felt so right with you...but everything feels right with Lucy...I don't know..."
"Who says you have to identify? You're just being you...you like what you like...there's no shame in that."
"Hyung...I don't know...I'm just so shy about this...what will my parents think? My family? Those are the ones I'm really worried about..."
"That can go either way. Either they're gonna accept you and embrace that truth, or they're gonna shut you out and probably disown you...that's usually how these things go..."
"Now I'm even more scared..." The boy sobs, "I don't know what to do...and I just got into a relationship with Lucy...and I told her that I love her...I'm not even sure if that's true."
"You're thinking about things too much. Take everything one day at a time. Don't try to process everything at once...relax."
"I can't relax. These thoughts are always in my head."
He took Jungkook's hand, "Listen...you have a true friend in me now...if you ever need to vent, I'm here for you. Seriously."
"Thanks hyung. I appreciate that." An innocent smile came across Jungkook's face. He's glad that he gained a new friend.

5:30pm
"I had a lot of fun with you today hyung."
"As did I." Jimin reached for Jungkook's hand as they continued walking. He didn't move his hand this time and allowed Jimin to intertwine their fingers.
He blushed, "Hyung..."
"Yes?"
"I like you...a lot..."
"I like you a lot too..." Jimin chuckled at the boy's innocent confession.
Jungkook stopped and planted a kiss on his new friend. In public.
Jimin's eyes widened. His eyes shifted. Normally he would be happy that Jungkook kissed him in public...but not this time. He broke the kiss.
"Jungkook..."
"Yes?"
"I...I have to go...I just remembered that...I forgot to send my paper...text me?"
"Sure...ok...did I do something?"
"No...I really have to go...I'll text you later..."
And like that Jimin walked away back to his apartment.
Did I do something? Was I too hasty? I'm so confused...

Jungkook made his way back to his dorm room, as he just remembered that Lucy wanted a painting of the pond.
