Shivaay was bewildered. Annika tried to compose herself first. She created a mess. It really complicated the situation or in other words it was worse than anything right now.

"Well done Annika...!! Well done...!!" (Her subconscious was clapping for her little floor show which she performed specially for shivaay. But Annika registered the sarcasm in appreciation) Of Course..!! "Well no need to taunt me now." She snapped at her subconscious.
" 'Annika Ram Kapoor' You are in a real big mess now. The person whom you didn't wanted to face is now in front of you still trying to be out of that sweet surprise which you gave him a moment ago. Annika what are you going to say him..?? How are you gonna face him..??" Her subconscious started her bombarding. "Will he take me back to our families..?? No he'll not do that. After all he's also running away from them & most importantly from me..!!" Annika spoke in mind. She was terrified about the consequences now.  Annika's inner battle was going unstoppable. Her attention turned to him when she heard her name from his mouth but it was barely a whisper.

He was fumbling. His hand still on top of his heart. For a split second annika felt pity for him. She felt the guilt of putting her would be husband in this situation. But it was for a mere second only. After a moment reality struck her hard.

Hell... No...!! He was not her would be husband anymore. She was running away from him & with a strange coincidence he was also running away from her. They will be the first RUNAWAY couple who were running away together but only to be away from each other. She didn't expected it in her wild dreams also & so does he. Her pity & guilt changed into anguish & hurt. Don't know why..!! Whereas his reactions, his expressions were now hidden behind his recently composed famous 'Shivaay Singh Oberoi's' mask. She tried to acknowledge his expression but it was futile. She knew that he's back in his SSO mode now. No more the Shivaay on whom she was pitying a quite ago. Her heartbeat skipped when she gazed in his eyes. Hurt was clearly visible in that beautiful eyes but as if in cue it also got masked by his intense yet thoughtful gaze. Annika shook her head to clear her thoughts & get a equilibrium on her mind & heart both. She was ready to face it. It was like now or never.

Annika took a bottle of water from her backpack Which was in the same place still after the disaster which she created. She first offered some water to Shivaay. In response he only shook his head mildly and turned to face straight in the front. He took a deep breath and exhaled with a sigh. Maybe to calm down & control himself. Whereas annika almost gulped the water with extra large sips. She choked on her water. Shivaay immediately came to her rescue. He patted her back & tried to bring her to her normal self. Their gaze got locked. They stared in each other's eyes impassively.
