Have you ever heard of Hellfire? The monster known to most,as the living embodiment of fear and depression itself? Apparently not,because today's the day he's coming for you. And I can already feel his presence...I shall tell you my own New years story,before yours is written in the newspaper...
I rush down the hall,being silent as i sneak up behind my brother. I grin as I grab him by the shoulders,screaming "HELLFIRE'S GOTCHA'!" HE screams,before recognizing my voice and smacking me upside the head,that is. I smirk,sitting next to him as we watch the Tv for the New York ball drop. I hear slight tapping against the window,but ignore it was i lean against my brother. I smirk up at him,about to poke him when he suddenly freezes in place. My eyes widen,looking at him as he grips his hair and shouts in agony. "GENE!? GENE!!!!!???!?!!!!" I scream,trying to shake him out of whatevers happening.
He suddenly stops moving,and i see his once happy and cheerful eyes turn dull and broken and he slouches on the floor. My eyes widen wider in fear as I try to make him snap out of it,only to hear a sickening pop from his head. "My joy and happiness are gone,and my sanity left with it. And now lord Hellfire will help you aswell." HE spoke in a monotone voice,slowly moving towards me. "Haha,very funny bro. Now quit it,it's almost new years!" I said,smiling with happiness. He sneered,grabbing me by the shoulders and throwing me into the table. "Oww..The hell!?" I say,standing up and punching my brother in the head as he ran at me. He fell back,landing on his butt as I run out of my house. I smell smoke,and when I turn around I see my brother standing there with..With Him. With Hellfire,the demon of suffering and sadness..I scream,screaming for him to release my brother,screaming for his sanity...And screaming for mine. I watch them walk into the flames,my sobs and cries going unheard by them...
Since then I havent heard or seen from either of them,but I can tell you this. If you ever hear tapping on new years,RUN.
