Chapter 1-Flashbacks

*Oceana's pov*

~Flashback~

Today is the day I have to tell my friends about me moving to Hollywood. Someone emailed me saying they wanted me signed to Hollywood Records. I sent an email back saying I agree and they want me to move in a week. My mom only agreed because she wants me to follow my dreams.

Right now I'm laying on my bed listening to Demi Lovato's song Heart Attack on repeat. Its my favorite. I should probably invite Mariel over.

To: Mariel🍍

Can you come over...I need to tell you something important.

She replied instantly.

From: Mariel🍍

I'll be there in a few minutes.

Mariel lives a block down from my house and my other best friend Hayes lives next door. I was home alone because my mom went to the store to get food..! I heard the doorbell ring and I ran downstairs and opened the door.

Mariel walked in and we went up to my room.

"So what did you need to tell me?", she said as we both sat on my bed. "You know the cover I posted on YouTube of Heart Attack by Demi Lovato?". "Yeah what about it. Did you get a million views..!". "Um no but someone from Hollywood Records saw it and wants me signed", I said looking at Mariel. She smiled widely. "That's great Oceana..!", she said as she hugged me.

Here comes the bad part of it all. "Yeah it is but that means I'm going to have to move to Hollywood", I said as my emotion changed from happy to sad. "Oh....", she was on the verge of crying. "Oceana I would rather have you chase your dreams than stay here with me and not chase your dreams", Mariel said hugging me. I knew she was speaking the truth.

"Thanks that means a lot to me". "So when are you gonna move", she asked me as we pulled apart from the hug. "In a week". "Oh". Her phone buzzed and she checked it. She looked back up at me and said,"I have to go but before you leave we're gonna have to have a girls day". "Yes we do", I said smiling. "Okay bye". "Bye", I said just as she left.

Now I'm going to have to tell Hayes. I heard my mom walk into the house. I walked downstairs and into the kitchen. I was looking down the whole time. "Did you tell Mariel sweetie", my mother asked me as she sat on a chair. I looked up. I sat down in front of her and said,"Yeah". "I know it's hard for you but it will get better". "I know it will mom". She got out of her chair and hugged me. As she pulled apart she said,"Now help me put away the groceries".

{20 minutes later}

I was pacing through my room waiting for Hayes to come over. I heard my mom say "Come in" from downstairs. He must be here. I heard a knock on my door. "Come in", I said taking a deep breath. The door opened and Hayes walked in. He sat on my bed and so did I. "What did you need to talk about", he asked me as I looked up.

"I'm moving to Hollywood in a week", I said quickly. He looked at me.

"Why..?". "Someone from Hollywood Records saw my cover of Heart Attack by Demi Lovato and wanted me signed, I agreed and now I have to move to Hollywood.", I said wondering what Hayes would say. He attacked me in a hug unexpectedly and said,"Thats great Oceana. Just know i'll always love you". We say we love each other but it's just in a friendly way.

"I'll love you to Hayes", I said hugging back. His phone buzzed and he checked it. "I have to go but we have to spend a whole day together before you leave", he said standing up and walking to the door. "We absolutely have to", I said. "Okay bye", he said opening the door. "bye", I said as he closed the door.

~End of Flashback~

**Another Flashback**

I was helping my mom put all the boxes in the U haul. Our flight was tomorrow at 4 am but we wanted our stuff to be there before or a little after us. We soon finished since it was raining and we were practically running outside to put the boxes in. The U haul left and it's now 10 am.

I went up to my room. I got a text from Hayes.

From: Hayes😜

Go out onto your balcony.

I don't know why he wanted me on my balcony. I mean it's raining. I walked out onto my balcony. I turned to look at Hayes' balcony and he was there.

"YOUR CRAZY", I yelled at him. "I KNOW.! MEET ME DOWN THERE", he said pointing to the ground below us. We both climbed down the ladders and met each other down there. Hayes was just standing. Even through the rain I could tell he was crying.

He ran and attacked me in a hug. I hugged him back. He was sobbing right now. He looked at me and said,"I'm going to miss Oceana". "I'm going to miss you to Hayes but just know i'll always love you", I said truthfully.

He was still crying. I pulled him under my balcony where there was no rain. "I know", he said before crashing his lips into mine. He had his arms around my waist and I had mine around his neck. I felt the sparks going off.

We're just two 14 year olds kissing under a balcony in the pouring rain. That's normal, right.? We pulled away and Hayes said,"I love you". "I love you too", I said smiling. His phone buzzed and he said he had to go but before he left he gave me one last kiss.

**End of Flashback**

*Present Time*

Right now I'm a 16 year old girl with over 3 million followers on Twitter. I lost contact with the Griers so I can't talk to them. Management has tried making me date celebrities but ever since Hayes kissed me I knew I wanted to be with him and only him.
