"Well you see Mr. Little, when a wizard or witch with lycanthropy has a child, the child will experience one of three outcomes: The most common being they continue on with their lives completely unaffected by the lycanthropy, the gene is passed down and the child will suffer transformations throughout their life, or the rare chance that the child carries an illness throughout their lifetime. We are very sorry to inform you that your daughter suffers from that very illness."

"And there is no cure?"

"Unfortunately there is no cure for your daughter's sickness."

"Well," The father paused before he ran his hands through the greasy hair, "What's going to happen to her?"

"To begin, you will notice that she will experience severe coughing, dizziness and a loss of appetite."

"Her ENTIRE life?"

"I'm afraid so."

Steve looked down at his daughter. Her big brown, miserable, eyes. This was his fault, he thought. He was the selfish one. He had caused his entire world to come crashing down. It was his fault that her sixth birthday was being spent in a hospital room.

What has he done?

This is short but it is also just a little background. (we aren't even going to talk about the fact that I have too many stories.)
