jisoo continued to struggle with her uniform's tie as she walked inside the school's campus.
she woke up twenty minutes late and had to skip breakfast just so that she had enough time to run to school.
jisoo muttered a chain of curses as the tie suddenly became tangled due to her countless failed attempts. she checked her watch and saw that she only had exactly five minutes until the first period bell rings. so she just grabbed her tie and tucked it inside her skirt before she broke into a sprint.
she bumped to a few students whilst she dashed through the halls but she could careless, her perfect attendance was at stake. jisoo felt a wave of relief wash over her as she saw the door of her classroom still open.
she made a run for it. her spirit was so determined to make it in time that she didn't notice another student carrying a stack of papers coming her way. by the time jisoo realized this, it was already too late.
papers flew everywhere as jisoo's figure collided with another. the collision of the two caused both of then to stumble and fall onto the cold floor.
"ouch." they both said in unison as they felt the pain of the impact.
jisoo was beyond annoyed at this point. her day started off with her not getting breakfast and now she had to deal with her attendance sheet getting a mark for being tardy.
"watch where you're going!" jisoo said angrily as she picked up a few pieces of paper before handing it over to the stranger. she didn't even bother to make eye contact with the other student.
as jisoo's footsteps echoed throughout the now empty hallway. the student, who had finally collected the fallen papers, was glancing at jisoo's direction.
his lips formed into a small smile before he turned his heels and started walking the opposite direction.
"that girl really is something.."
-
"what happened to you?" lisa questioned as she looked at jisoo from head to toe.
jisoo didn't look good that good; her hair was slightly messy, a few of her buttons were undone, her shoes weren't exactly shiny, and she had eyebags due to the lack of sleep.
"i woke up at midnight and this unknown number started texting me." jisoo said as she rummaged through her bag and pulled out her phone, "are you sure that this isn't your number?"
jisoo then handed her phone to lisa, who took it without hesitation. the younger scanned the previous conversation as she carefully read the words.
jisoo waited for the girl to reply when something unexpected happened. as soon as her eyes left lisa, she heard the younger bursting into a series of giggles.
"this.. isn't mine... jisoo-unnie." lisa stated between giggles. she continued doing this for thirty straight seconds before bringing back her serious composure.
"but i am well aware of who owns this number." lisa said, grinning at the older.
"really? who?"
"it's a secret, and i think the person using that number should be the one who'll reveal their identity." lisa said and started skipping away, further teasing the older female.
"lisa-yah! you have to tell me." jisoo exclaimed and started running after her.
