Kaipo Etera would never fight again. Having shed the blood of innocent child the last he was in battle, he had sworn to never again use violence as a means to any end, no matter what the circumstances, no matter what the cost. As the heir to the throne of Asterius, a realm that had narrowly been spared from Odin's capture and always on the verge of invasion, it caused quite some stir. But a wise ruler knew how to adapt and Asterius stayed safe.
Until the day the Setera arrived. Unable to defend themselves against the onslaught, the people of Asterius fled the planet. With only one escape pod left, Kaipo chooses to stay, ignoring his guardian's pleas to let him stay as well. Resigned to his fate, the prince of the dying kingdom locks himself in the library, surrounding himself with the knowledge of his people, ready for what came next.
Until a miracle. Bursting into the library was not an army, but the prince of Asgard, wielding a hammer and demanding answers, searching for something that Kaipo had only heard of in stories. Desperate to survive, he promises to give Thor all the knowledge he has in return for constant protection until he was able to find the guardian he had sent away.
Now stuck together, the two princes must find a way to traverse through the galaxy in pursuit of their goals, all while trying not to kill each other in the process.

AUTHOR'S NOTE
Here we are! I honestly never thought I would be able to write a Thor fic, I was always so nervous about the mythology and getting everything correct, but since Kaipo isn't Asgardian, I don't have to be worried, so here we are! I'm super excited for this, you have no idea.
And just a fun little translation piece, Kaipo means "sweetheart" in Hawaiian, Alasdair means "protector" in Greek, and Amor Vincit is Latin for "love conquers" so, yes, I spent a great deal of time picking out these names.
