meeting your parents for the first time

Richie:
He was really nervous but told you he wasn't. Because he was so nervous, he would make a lot of jokes while wiping off his sweaty palms on his legs.

Bill:
He was so nervous that he had to change his shirt three times that day because of all the sweat. At the table, he would rarely say anything, and when your parents would ask him a question he would stutter more than usual.

Eddie:
He said he was exited so you wouldn't be suspicious about the fact that the day he had to meet them, he pretended to be sick and stayed home.

Stan:
He was a little nervous, but not too much. You had told him about how many good things you had said about him to them, and that gave him better confidence. That confidence of course went away when he met them and forgot his own name.
