                                                                                    Preface

My head hits the cood ceramic floor. I attempt to regain my balance without success I fall to the floor once more. Its dark, very dark and my vision is heavily impared, moving around was not easy. Several questions fill my head making it harder for me to concentrate...

Where am I? What happened? How did I get here?

I stand up on my shaky, unstable clammy, bare feet almost tumbling over with every step I take. I walk, just walk for that's clearly the only option i have. I bump into something head first, I grab my head in pain. I feel along the surface of what had stopped me in my tracks...

     Damn! I'ts just a wall . . . WAIT!

I feel something cold and smooth. Its a door knob! I twist it frantically as my heart races at incredible speed. But soon I feel the resistance and the ever so familiar click... Its locked. I slide down to the floor, losing all hope, when suddenly a burst of light shines brightly in the corner of the room. It luminates a mixture of red, green and blue light.

Wait. . . None of this makes sense maybe its just a dream. But even I know when you think its a dream ... It never is.

I run as fast as I can to the light, but as I run the distance seems to just get farther and farther away. All that is audible is my heavy breathing and the thud of my heavy feet as they hit the floor. Finally I reach the object and I pick it up . . . Its a key! Not only that, but when I picked it up, it glowed blue in the palm of my hand. I observe the room... all i can see now is the door and four walls, four brick walls surrounding me. Whether or not my mind was playing tricks on me I dont know but the room felt as if it were closing in on me. I walk to the door, for I am too exhausted to use another inch of my energy to run. Once reaching the door my hands are shaking and trembling rapidly as I stare at the knob.

Do I really want to open this?

Im breathing heavier now, to the point where the smoke its visible from my frozen lips.

    CLINK

The key hits the floor. I retrieve it despite my outrageous fear. I hesitate and slowly insert the key into the lock. I close my eyes and twist my wrist swiftly to the right. I cringe.

     CLICK

It Works! Quickly I open the door and slam it behind me.

     SLAM . . . . . SLAM. . . . . .

I hear the sound of two more doors slamming. I stand motionless . . . Realizing that I am not alone.
