After getting off the plane and grabbing his bags, Jackson stood in the unholy cold to wait on the cab that was supposed to pick him up.
Waiting on anyone or anything was one of Jackson's many pet peeves.
Patience is not his strong suit.
So when the young man finally arrived, Jackson was pissed as hell.
"Sorry I'm late. Overslept, mate. You know how it is." He said as he pulled off. "I got sooo high last night, mate."
"I believe you." Jackson said dryly.
"And this morning." He laughed.
"Are you high...right now?!"
Jackson asked.
"Maybe...I can't remember." He said.
"Fantastic." Jackson said sarcastically.
"Where are you headed again?" The young man asked. Jackson took a piece of paper from his jacket pocket.
"The pent house, walking distance from the Sterling Students Academy. This address." Jackson handed it to him. He read at the traffic light but seemed confused. "Can you read?"
"Of course I can. Psh. Don't be ridiculous! Question: What's this word?" He asked confused as other cars honked behind them. 100% Done at this point, Jackson took the paper and read out the address himself.
Jackson finally reached his destination three hours later because his 'guide' got lost five times.
"Hey, dad. I'm here. Finally."
Jackson said.
"Only now? Are you okay?" Mr Whittemore asked concerned.
"It's a long story but I'm fine." Jackson said tiredly. Running his hands over his face. His father let it go and said the rest of his stuff would get airmailed later. Jackson agreed and the conversation ended.
Thankfully the place was fully furnished so he could take a shower and crash on his plastic covered bed.
And munch on some airline peanuts and wash it down with some bottled water because the fridge was empty.
He really needed to go shopping.
But at least there was an amazing view. And WiFi. WiFi was a must.
And a fireplace in the living room. He's seriously never been so excited to see a fireplace in his entire life.
It was freezing!
He would explore the rest of the empty apartment tomorrow but he needed sleep. And a hot bath.
And to call Danny who would be pissed if Jackson didn't call to say he was alright.

The next morning, Jackson went to check in at school. Collect his uniform(not looking forward to wearing that) books...A map! Signed up for lacrosse. After he was done over there, he found a cafe to have breakfast because he was starving.
Looked for a couple sheets, shower curtains, fun pieces to liven up the house, soap dishes and crap like that. Groceries. Got lunch but went back to the cafe to get more of their jam tarts that were sooo addictive.
Returned home exhausted but unpacked his life first before going into a coma for the night.
