Regina sobbed uncontrollably as she lay curled up on her bed in her pyjamas. It had been months now since Emma brought Marian back and with each passing day she grew more and more unhappy. She tried to be happy for Robin and Roland, after all, isn't that what love is about? But she could barely speak to him. He was always with his family, never alone any more, and she'd never seen Roland so happy as when he was in his mother's arms. It broke her heart every time she saw him so she had simply given up going out. She stayed in bed most days, only venturing up to eat when she felt like it, which wasn't often. She tried to read or watch films, but all of the books and DVDs in the house had some aspect of love so she gave up.

One morning, she woke up early and knew she just wanted to sleep forever. So she dragged herself out of bed, pulled on the first dress that came out of the closet and made her way to her office. Locking the door behind her and pulling down the blinds, she set to work. She spent the whole morning hunting down ingredients through puffy, tear-filled eyes.

Finally, it was ready. She held up her hand to deliver the final touch when the door burst in suddenly and a blonde woman wearing an ice blue dress strutted in.

"Who the hell are you? How did you get in?"

"Froze the lock." To demonstrate her powers, the newcomer sent a flash of blue towards the bottle in Regina's hand, freezing it solid. She didn't even have the energy to be furious any more. She tried to send a fireball at the woman but nothing happened. The bottle dropped to the floor, glass shards flying left, right and centre. Regina tried to shield herself but one small shard hit her square in the face, hurting her eye.

"Let's see who truly cares for you now." The woman hissed, aiming ice straight at her chest. The impact was cold, freezing cold. She fell to the floor, unable to move and losing consciousness as the witch cackled and stalked out, freezing over the door as she went.

Her last thought as she slipped under was of Robin's warm kisses.

"Mum, have you seen Mum? She's not at her house because I've just been there. The door's unlocked and I'm so worried about her."

Emma glanced at Killian before sighing and getting up.

"Come on, kiddo." Killian followed without a word as they got in her car and drove to Regina's house. The door was slightly ajar and, on going inside, they found the place a mess. Emma was once again hit with guilt at what she'd done to her.

"I should never have brought Marian back," she whispered. Killian heard her and quickly pecked her lips while Henry's back was turned.

"There's nothing you can do about it now. All we can do is find Regina and stop her from doing anything stupid."

"She's not in the garden, and I checked all the rooms. Where could she be?"

"Her office?" Emma suggested, and Henry ran off. Emma and Killian looked at each other and ran after him. They reached her office and ran up the stairs to find the door frozen over, and the fact it wasn't melting filled Emma with fear. What the hell had happened?

"Enchanted ice. I might be able to break it with my hook but it's unlikely. I'd stand back if I were you, you do not want this in your eye. Believe me." Emma took Henry round the corner, out of the way, as Killian took several well-aimed swipes at the frozen door. Small chips of ice flew everywhere, but it remained immovable.

"What are we going to do? I did this to her." Emma almost broke down but both her men protested and hugged her tight.

"Look, if we keep going we'll be sure to smash it. Find something really solid and sharp..."
