The Tale of Two Lovers

ch. 3

*9 years later*

          Ava is 12 now and has forgotten all about the king and queen but sometimes she would have dreams of her in a castle and the old lady, or at least she thought they were dreams

          Olivia feels like Ava is old enough to help out at the bakery, god knows she can use the help. But Ava doesn't think that baking is for her, yeah she loves it but... she always feel like she can do something more. 

           But what that something more is she doesn't know, she has tried painting, sewing, designing, and last but not least, farming. Now farming was an interesting thing, Ava loved animals and Moshi was a great farm dog but it was to much for her. Taking care of the pigs, chickens, sheep, and cows. The horses weren't much of a problem in fact they were her favorite thing about the whole experience. after all she is only 12.

          But either way Ava said she would help out and so they locked up Moshi and left for the bakery.

           Now Olivia already has a helpers but one of them just had a baby so she was taking a couple of months off. Then there was a boy about a year younger than Ava (well almost a year, Its 8 months but Ava loves to remind him of it). His name was Eliot, now Eliot loved to help with the baking, him and Ava always fight about who can bake what. And at the end of the day who would get to lick the spoon. In the end nobody would get to lick the spoon because its unsanitary.

           Ava and Eliot are friends maybe even best friends. But even though Eliot is younger he worries about Ava. She always seems to be out of it, sometimes it would get her in danger. Kids at school always stare and glare. Ava doesn't care or maybe she doesn't notice, Ava never really cared for school. But Eliot notices, when Ava isn't around the kids tell him to just stop being her friend but Eliot would never leave Ava...

       Today Ava and Eliot would work together because Olivia just got a big order on bread apparently some rich person is having a feast and wants 20 loafs* of french bread. Crazy right? i mean who even eats that much bread? 

Ava's POV

"that's a lot of bread mooommm that'll take forever". Ava wined 

'sigh' "if you do a good job i'll make you chocolate brownies" Olivia said, knowing that Ava can't resist brownies.

'tch' being sold out for food of course' "Fine but I want three brownies"

"ok ok deal now hurry up and start making bread. also don't tell Eliot about the brownies k."

"ok hehe"

  *A thinner loaf is called a ficelle (string). A short baguette is sometimes known as a baton (stick), or even referred to using the English translation French stick.* (i didn't know what to call the french bread lol) 

Yes its a short chapter but eh at least its something. Now don't go off and say im lazy because that is a 100% true. just don't say it.
