A Red Rose In The Deep Blue Ocean

Eggman has been defeated again by Sonic The Hedgehog and his friends. Now that they have time to settle down they decided to go on a cruise for a few days, but Sonic hated the idea buy Knuckles forced him to come. Now everyone is having fun : Tails was playing shuffle board with Cream and Cheese, Knuckles was lookinb out into the sparkling blue ocean, and Sonic was on a lawn chair breathing heavily into a paper bag.

'Think about chilidogs, think about chilidogs, think about chilidoys...' Sonic kept repeating in his head. This wasn't helping at all, he prepared to vomit in the bag until he saw Amy; which  made him blush deep red and settled his stomach down. She was wearing a dark red bikini showing Sonic her perfect body. He could tell she was going swimming in the pool in front of him. But he also noticed something els, she wasn't looking at him at all; instead she just ignored him as if he wasn't there. 

She jumped into the water and splashed Sonic which sent him running to the roof of the ship. When he calmed down he watched Amy swim gracefully underwater. Sonic has been inlove with her ever since he rescued her from Metal Sonic, but he was too shy and afraid to confess his feelings to her, and if he did she would be an easy target for Eggman.

His day dreming was intereupted by Knuckles, "What are you doing?" He asked.                                      "Uh, nothing!" Sonic blushed. Knuckles grinned "You were checking Amy out weren't you?" "WHAT?! No I was just looking at the ocean from here." But Knuckles knew better "Sure you were." "Shut up!" "You gotta tell her sooner or later." Knuckes said as he walked off.                          

Sonic knew he was right. He looked back at Amy and relized she was not at the pool. He saw her at the railing of the ship with a white towel over her shoulders. The sun was setting and he saw how beautiful she was, 'I have to tell her now.' He jumped off the roof and walked twards her. When he got to her side he said "Hey." She still didn't make eye contact, "Hey." He got curious "So you haven't been talking to me very much. Is there something wrong?" "I thought you hate me being with you." She replied coldly. He was shocked, "What? When you ever start thinking that?" She turned to him and glared, "Every time you ran away from me. You never took the time to hang out with me, and you always treat me horribly. So you must hate me, I'm only a useless fangirl to you." As she stopped talking Sonic started thinking of the times he ran away from her and knew it broke her heart. His ears drooped down.

He looked back at her, "Amy I-" but something hit the boat. Amy almost fell into the ocean, but Sonic pulled her back to the deck. "What was that?!" She yelled. Her question was answered by a foul laughter. It was Eggman, "Think you can have a vacation without me?" "Hmmm...yeah we can." Sonic laughed. Eggman smirked "Well I'll make this a battle you will never forget!" Sonic tried to spindash him but was hit by a new robot. It was a new Metal Sonic, but this time it had some major upgrades. "Say hello to Death Metal Sonic." Sonic laughed "Ha ha ha death metal? Thats a pretty good name." Eggman grinned "Oh wouldnt be laughing. He is much faster than you." Sonic laughed again, "He he he. Faster? I've said it before and I'll say it again; I'm the fastest thing alive." Eggman continued to laugh, "Attack!" Sonic and Death Metal  charged at eachother, while Amy just stood there and watched.

Eggman also sent other robots to attack the ship. Amy summoned her hammer and smashed them, Tails and Cream were in the X-Tornado shooting the robots, and Knuckles smashed the robots. Sonic and Death Metal were equally matched and pretty injured. Sonic spindashed him into Eggman, "Grrr...its now or never. All robots self destruct and dont leave the pink one alive." If Eggman couldn't kill Sonic then he would kill the one he loves. All of Sonic's friends were in the X-Tornado so Sonic went to get Amy, but Death Metal knocked him away from her and into the ocean. Before he hit the water he saw Amy fighting all the robots on her own. He tried to swim back up but he continued to sink. And he saw the ship blow up from underneath. His eyes widened with fear as he mustered all the strength he could to swim. Luckily Knuckles dives down to save Sonic. When they reached the surface Sonic yelled, "AMY!!!!" They found peice of the ship to get on. But Sonic was attempting to go back "We need to go back for Amy now!" Sonic yelled. Knuckles grabbed him and pulled him back, "Sonic face it! She's gone!" "No! She's not, she can't be!" But seeing the burning ship sink into the ocean made Sonic accept she was gone. Right when he was going to tell her. Sonic sulked, "I was going to tell her." He cried as Knuckles patted his back. Sonic noticed something floating towards him, it was Amy's red headband; he picked it up and held it closely to his chest. "I love you Amy Rose." He sobbed. But they couldn't stay much longer "C'mon we need to get home." Knuckles said. Sonic nodded sadly and looked back at the wreck, 'I'm so sorry my rose.'
