In a rush to do something, he puts Soushi down on his back and tucks a blanket over him; before securing him by checking that he doesn't fall out and injures himself.

He walks over to the kitchen and carelessly throws things out, not bothering where they went, in order to find a thermometer.

"Where is it?" His panicked mind screaming at him.

After checking all the cupboards and with no successful result, he moves over to the bathroom where he finds a brand new thermometer, all boxed and looking beautiful.

Of course, he could care less about the wonderful packaging and ripped it like a madman. He swiftly moved back to the kitchen and did the same with a box of batteries, putting them in a quick movement.

Almost sliding across the floor as he had just waxed his wooden floor, Taehyung turned on the thermometer and gently put it into his mouth and nervously waited.

The loud beep that followed after a few minutes didn't help to ease the tension in his stomach, he closed his eyes and opened them slowly, revealing the result to him.

38.7°C

Taehyung needed to call Hyejin because surely she would know what to do, right? He dialed the number she had given him and was almost relieved when he thought she picked up.

"Sorry, the person you are calling is not able to take your call. Please leave your message after the 'beep'." The woman said before a loud beep and Taehyung instantly press the red button on his phone.

"I guess I'm not going to school." He shrugged.

Meanwhile somewhere else in Seoul.

"You'll hand your phone over to me now at this instant!" The old and mean teacher screeched at Hyejin.

"Okay." She shortly mumbled back before searching her simple bag until she found her phone, amidst the mess inside, and gave it to the teacher.

"Young kids these days, always on their phone - why is it that they take over the the lives of this generation." The teacher said quietly but clearly intended for the whole class to listen to her. She gave out a heavy sigh before going back to teach her lesson as if nothing ever happened.

Hyejin just hid herself with her long brown hair, her arms acting like a pillow shield: giving comfort for the person inside and giving a clear signal to the people outside the wall to stay away.

Which is why her friend, Lee Yerim, felt bad as she casually stroked the back of her head, somewhat giving a bit of comfort to the stressed Hyejin.

"We have exams coming up and my phone is the only way I can take my mind off them." She said with an exaggerated, theatre, worried tone.

"I'm pretty sure you'll be fine thought but who called you? No-one normally calls you during school time." Yerim curiously said.

"Gee, thanks!" Hyejin said with the sarcasm dripping all over the place like syrup.

"What?! I just want to know who called you, you know I never meant it that way - I know you have a friends." Yerim told her friend before she laughed.

"Well it was.", she paused for second, "It was a boy that called me and that's all you need to know." She smiled before walking away to the cafeteria for lunch.

"Hey! Yah! I need more information, give me everything about his looks - am I in his league? If so, send him my way." She shouted as she poked her head out of the classroom's door.

Unbeknowst to Hyejin, she didn't realise the trouble that Taehyung was going through.
