Wedding Bells

I twirl around and watch as the pearl wedding dress smoothly floats to the ground in the mirror and I can't help from smiling. Mom squeals and comes up from behind me and squeezes my shoulders.
"Look at you y/n, you're perfect." She turns me around to face her and takes in a breath before her eyes start to swell up with tears. "Oh my baby." She breaths before weakly laughing. "Look at me I'm already crying and the wedding hasn't even started yet." She fans her face with her hand and looks up to the ceiling, a smile all across her face.
"Mom don't cry then you know I'll start crying." I bite the inside of my cheek and hold back my tears of happiness.

She smiles at me and has that look of ' I could never be more proud of you and love you as much as I do now" written across her face. And I feel that love as she pulls me in close to her, carefully avoiding getting makeup on the gorgeous wedding dress. "I love you" she whispers in my ear.

A sudden knock makes us both jump and look at the door. "Mrs.L/n it's time." A voice calls out. I quickly look at mom and inhale excitement and exhale nervousness.
Dark second thoughts about what my fiancé thinks of me flood into my head. "What if he thinks I'm ugly? What if...he divorces me because he stops loving me. You know people fall out of love mom, and I could be one of those. This could all be fake...Oh what if it's fake mom? Will I die alone with 12 fricken cats and live in a card board box?" Her warm hand grab me by the shoulders and reassure me that everything is going to be ok.
"Y/n, James loves you." She says sternly. "Maybe even as much as me, if that's possible. " she adds grinning proudly. She let's go of me and straightens out her pearl pink dress as she walks to the door. She swings it open and turns to look at me one last time. "Dad loved you so much and if he was here, he would have been so proud of his little girl that used to sit on his lap and sleep in his arms." She wipes away her tears with the back of her hand. " See you out there Mrs. Moriarty." And with that she shuts the door to go take her seat.

After a couple of seconds drag by, the sound of the organ's Here Comes the Bride creeps up the walls of the church. I impatiently lick my lips and push open the doors to the ceremony.

I impatiently lick my lips and push open the doors to the ceremony. James stands at the alter looking down at his feet,  his sharp tux, framing his body in all the right ways. His dark hair is slicked back but still little whispies peek out. He stands there biting his bottom lip and is unaware of the people in the pews stood up for me as I make my way down the aisle. Finally he looks up. His dark eyes widen and his jaw nearly drops to the floor. His cheeks mimic mine as I flush with colour when I take a couple steps so I'm standing across from him. He has this smirk that read as "look how beautiful you are, and I get the privilege to call you mine. I'm one lucky son of a bitch," he licks his lips and mouthes "you're beautiful".

"Dearly Beloved, we are gathered here today in the presence of these witnesses, to join y/n l/n and Jim Moriarty in matrimony commended to be honorable among all; and therefore is not to be entered into lightly but reverently, passionately, lovingly and solemnly. Into this - these two persons present now come to be joined. If any person can show just cause why they may not be joined together - let them speak now or forever hold their peace." The clergy announces.

James' eyes wildly dart around the church, challenging anyone who even moves a muscle against us and lightly touching the gun in his breast pocket.

" I do."

I realize how that sounds now that I typed it out and I sound like an idiot.
