✪ In 2007, he auditioned in SM Entertainment, but he failed. He tried again in 2008 and failed again. And then he initially auditioned at Woolim Entertainment, with a hurting stomach, he threatened them saying, "If you don't pick me, I'm going to bother you forever." lol Sunggyu. XD afterwards, he went to the hospital immediately and got an appendectomy. On the day of his release, he received the notification that he passed the audition.
✪ On February 15, 2013, he graduated from Daekyung University's Practical music program along with L, Sungyeol, Hoya and Dongwoo, and received the 'Proud Daekyung University Student' award.
✪ He is currently a student of Practical Music at Hoseo University.
✪ He was the first one to debut solo among the members, in the year 2012.
✪ He is a fan of a rock band named Nell, that I think is the same entertainment as his.
✪ Nell's manager recommended Sunggyu to audition on Wooliment, after coincidentally meeting him in a cafe where he did his part time job.
✪ He was a part of a school band named 'Beat' in Jeonju National University High School.
✪ Sunggyu's parents doesn't support his dream for being an idol, that's why he practices secretly and doesn't stay at home.
✪ Sunggyu has small eyes. Halata naman na, diba? XD
✪ It's strange to see him mad because he laughs a lot.
✪ He has sensitive skin and is allergic to metal.
✪ He has a weak heart, not a sickness or something, that's why he can't stay mad at a person that long.
✪ He learned Chinese for about 5 years.
✪ He said that all of the members listen to him. --parang di naman halata. XDD
✪ He doesn't snore when he sleeps, he has no sleeping habits.
✪ He was the fastest person to learn the scorpion dance.
✪ Sungyeol, L, Sunjong and himself, chose Sunggyu as the one with the highest IQ.
✪ He loves showering with hot water.
✪ He hated Woohyun the most back when they were trainees, but now Woohyun is the one he trusts the most.
