Breathing hard, I slowly tried to push my arm up but I failed. The pain was unbearable and I felt like my life was over.
"I'm done for the day, I'm not doing this shit no more. It's so hard. Why did this have to happen to me? I can barely move my arm." I ranted to my trainer, Tristan.
"Come On Cass, don't give up. You got this." He tried to motivate me but I wasn't with it. I had a whole attitude, not a half attitude.. a whole one.
"No, I said I'm done." I got up and grabbed my stuff before storming out of the building. As I was walking to the car, I heard Tristan running after me.
"Cass, hold on wait. You know you have to do a certain amount of hours a day. I can't just let you go." He said, stopping me. I smirked and turned around, batting my eyes at him.
"But you can, right?" I said giving him a nice smile. He smirked.
Tristan had to be about in his mid twenties but he was so fine. He was buff and he had tattoos all down his arms. He had a full, long beard and I promise, I could stare at him all day. I was attracted to him and he knew it but I also had to remember that I could never mess with older dudes. I loved older dudes though, I just couldn't resist.
"Hmm, I might make an exception. On one condition though." He said, looking down at me. I prayed he asked for a date but I knew that wasn't gonna happen."What's the condition?"
"You have to come tomorrow with a better spirit and ready to face this head on, deal?"
I was kind of mad that it wasn't a date, but whatever.
"Deal." I said, giving him a fake smile.
I got in the car and Pie was damn near breaking her neck looking at Tristan.
"Girl that's who you be training with? I want him to fucking train me, oh my goodness." She said, moaning a little.
"Ewww Pie, stop. He mad old."
"So? Cass you need to be tryna get with that, you not that young you a senior in high school and on top of that, he looked like he was kind of feeling you."
"Girl no, I don't see it." I waved her off. It did perk me up a little though. I might have a small chance.
"Cass, I'm serious. I know when niggas like you. He was licking his lips and shit. Looking at you like you was a full course meal. That's how Dre used to look at me, now I can't stand that bitch." Pie ranted but I just tuned her out and started thinking about the Rambo situation.
It had been weeks since it happened and we both acted as if nothing happened. Our connection did feel a little different and I wanted to fix it. He was the one who made shit awkward though.
Arriving at my house, I wanted to do nothing more than sleep. I took me a shower and ate dinner with my Mom.
I loved times like this, when it was just me and her chilling. My dad died about three years ago and it was really tragic but we managed to get through it. Now, all she does is go to her boutique and work then come home, cook, clean and do whatever she likes pretty much. I'm spoiled but I'm not a brat and I'm very grateful for her. My dad had left behind so much money and my Mama was always smart when it came to investments and what not and she tripled the money he left. We always do girly shit like go shopping and nails, hair you know the usual.
