Jinwook X Yein | Other Half Of Me

Blood-curdling screams, fire-spitting words, and ear-shattering crashes could be heard even outside the house as Jinwook and Yera fought fiercely inside.

Yein could only watch quietly ontop of a cabinet in his ginger cat form helplessly, his cat-blue eyes averted back and forth, from Jinwook to Yera and back.

"FINE! IT'S OVER! WE'RE DONE!!" Yera took her bag and walked out of the front door, shutting the door with a loud slam.

Jinwook slid down the wall and buried his face in his hands, tears streaming down his face. Yein approached him slowly in his human form, worry and fear can be seen in his eyes for him.

In contrast to Yein's sky blue eyes, Jinwook's eyes is a dark brown colour.

"Jinwook-hyung?" He called out his friend, Jinwook lifted his eyes to meet Yein's.

"Leave me alone." He deadpanned, Yein flinched slightly from the tone of his voice.

"Hyu—." He was cut off by him.

"I SAID LEAVE ME ALONE!!" He roared, Yein jumped back from his sudden outburst.

"I'm just trying to—." He is cut off again by his voice booming.

"YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND! YOU CAN'T FEEL THE PAIN I FEEL! STOP TRYING TO GET INTO MY LIFE!" Jinwook slapped Yein at the last word, he craned his neck while holding his now-red cheek to meet Jinwook's eyes one last time.

"I'll leave." Yein's voice is barely above a whisper before leaving him.

Jinwook realized this and tried to stop Yein from going further, but he was too late.

What if I lost my best friend because of this?

What if he's mad of me?

What if he won't talk to me?

So many 'What if''s started crashing down on him. He regretted shouting at him.

Heck, he regretted saying he should leave him alone

Now, he needed to apologise to him.

He needed Yein beside him, to comfort him

He sighed as he ruffled his hair in frustration.

"I need to talk to him."

{Next Week}

It's been a full week since Yein started avoiding Jinwook, and it drove him crazy.

SooIl, Minsoo, Sungjoon, Changhyun, Wooseok, Gyujin, Hwanhee, and Dongyeol started noticing this and eyed the two on opposite ends of the table; They shared one thought.

Why are they avoiding eachother and what happened?

Yein stood up hastily, making his chair screech against the tiled floor.

"Where are you going, Yein-ah? Lunch won't end 'till 15 minutes." Wooseok asked the brunette boy, he just answered,

"Somewhere." And left the cafeteria without any goodbye, like he usually do.

Jinwook sighed in defeat and followed after him, speed-walking as to try to catch up to him.

The others made eye contact with eachother and ask eachother how in the world they got into this mess.

"I heard Jinwook broke up with his girlfriend, Yein tried to comfort him, but he slapped him. You get the rest, right?" Changhyun told the group, SooIl piped up,

"So that's why?" Changhyun nodded.

"They've been friends for their whole life, surely they'll make up and let it go, right?" The others nodded at Minsoo's comment.

"We hope so."

When the older is behind the younger, he swiftly grabbed his wrist, twirled him around, and pushed him to the nearest classroom.

"Kim Jinwook!" Yein whispered-shouted at him, his eyes softened when Jinwook buried his face in the crook of his neck.

"I'm sorry," Jinwook whispered, "For yelling at you the other day." Yein sighed.

"It's ok," Yein runs his fingers through his golden hair, "I understand that you're mad, I was trying to comfort you." He sighed in content as Jinwook pulled away from their hug.

"I was just trying to give you the space you needed." And Yein unlocked the empty classroom door.

As he could even take a step out of the empty classroom, Jinwook pulled him in for a short kiss before the bell rang in advance. He just stood there, awestruck when he winked at him, signalling something.

Yein is as red as tomatoes when he arrived at his classroom.

"Sorry I'm late, I kinda got lost." He tried to reason out, good thing the teacher didn't think much about it and motioned him to sit down,

Jinwook passed him a post-it note when he sat down, it read:

Yein turned red again as he met his eyes, he just smiled 'innocently'.

Well, atleast someone loves me back.
