A bored Beca finds herself alone at her first college party.

I don't know why I always come to these parties. I always end up in the corner somewhere alone.

She scans the dancing crowd of newly placed accapellees and - oh my god, is that Jesse?
She quickly averts her eyes but he's already seen her, and is on his drunken way towards her spot; perched at the top of the mosh pit. She sighs and accepts defeat.
---
The music's loud, there's beer, and people are dancing. She should be having fun. Her boyfriend is talking to her but Chloe's not really listening. In fact, her thoughts haven't been completely... present, lately.

Ever since she saw Beca Mitchel at Club Day, she hasn't gotten out of her mind. Chloe didn't know if this stranger could sing...or dance, for that matter. Her dark makeup didn't exactly pin her as an acapella girl. She didn't know anything about her. All she knew was that she had to make this girl part of her life somehow. Before the mysterious stranger walked away, Chloe frantically turned to Aubrey and asked "What about her?"

She catches herself smiling.

"What?" her boyfriend asks.

"Oh...nothing," she says quietly and turns to look for the only person on her mind. Her heart drops when she sees Beca talking to a boy. Talking, laughing...touching. A pang of jealousy surprises Chloe. Eventually, the boy walks away.

"Um, excuse me. I have to talk to...a friend," she apologetically says to her boyfriend.

"Yeah, okay," he says, and takes a sip of his beer.

---

Jesse finally walks away from Beca.
God, he's weird.
Her face lights up when blue-eyed, red-haired, Chloe awkwardly makes her way toward her. This is a relief to Beca. Chloe has been the only friendly girl to her since she joined the Barden Bella's. Maybe too friendly.

Chloe approaches Beca.

"Hii--"

Chloe grabs her hands and pulls Beca in so close and so fast, their lips almost touch. Beca pulls a sharp breath in, butterflies in her stomach going nuts. She could feel the soft air coming out of Chloe's nose, and tickling her check.

"I think we are going to become really fast friends," says Chloe as she moves her eyes down to Beca's lips. She's not shy to stare at them.

Beca almost leans in more, and even has a nagging temptation to kiss her, but instead tells herself to snap out of it.

"Yeahh, well. You saw me naked so..." she adds with a playful wink.
