Driving in the hot summer breeze I took the time to stop by my parents house to see how they doing.
"Hello"I shouted a little to let somebody know that l've stepped in the house
"Valerie sweetheart how are you What brings you by" my mom hugged me.
" nothing really just stopping by to see how my wonderful parents are and where's dad and ace." I asked I grabbed an orange.
" oh they went to the store to get some stuff to make for dinner you staying for dinner" she smiled
" Yup and it's Italian night and love Italian food" I said as I visualize what I'm about to eat
" yes and don't remind me but did you hear from your job interview or.." she asked
" yes they sent me a letter in the mail saying decline. I sighed mom it's really hard to look for a job then don't get it". I stressed.
" awe sweetie it's ok your going to get somewhere it's ok" she comfort me.
" The King has returned to the palace".I see my dad walking in the kitchen with groceries in his hands with my little brother behind him.
" Hey princess" my dad hugged me, you must staying for dinner? He said as he put the food up.
I nodded head " yea I'm staying hows the team going? I asked him.
" it's going good need a physical therapist for one of my players . He said as I shot my head up.
" oh I can help you out with that-
"And your not taking the job sorry" he said as I pouted.
"What dad come on I need a job the job I tried to get they declined and it's hard. Nowadays people really don't wanna hire you. I said begging as he signed ha I always win.
" Fine I have to talk to the other coach's about it and the team . Come by my office tomorrow morning then I'll have someone show you around . He said as I smiled and stayed calm on the outside but in the inside I jump for joy. Time make some money.
"Thank you dad your a lifesaver" I said going in the living room seen ace watching the game.
" And I can't get a Hey or something " I sat next to him and flicked his hat off his head.
" Man why you have to flick my hat off ugly. He pushed me to the side as i pushed him back.
" they going to lose anyway I say referring to the Golden Warriors. He hated when I talk down i his favorite basketball team.
" Shut up this is going to be their first loss this season. He said with his eyes glued to the tv.
"Hmm well how's school going trying out for basketball this year" I asked him while I scrolled down on my instagram.
" you know your baby bro is book smart got them grades sky high and yea I'm still trying out for basketball. He said
" good to hear keep up the good work and I'll buy you a car . I said he snapped he head towards me.
" For real" I he said as I nodded my head.
" ight bet and you better surprise me with my dream car to" said as I got up and went in the kitchen to tell my parents that I'm leaving.
" hey mom I'm not staying for dinner sorry I forgot to meet Leah". I said
" it's ok sweetie tell Leah I said hi" said as she cut the chicken in pieces.
