Number One

The VK's met up with with the Tori Gang after school.

"Wanna grab some food?" Tori asked them.

"Allow us." Mal led her gang to a truck called the Grub Truck. They had become friends with the owner.

"Festus!" Carlos called.

"Hello, bodies." The dark brown haired Festus appeared at the counter. "Wanna hear the specials?"

"Sure." Jay smiled.

"I have the spaghetti."

"Ooh." Mal's face lit up.

"The hotdogs."

"I love hotdogs."

"Let me finish!" Festus shouted.

"Sorry. Carry on." Mal grabbed her bag.

"That's it." Festus smiled.

"Can we order," Evie did some quick calculations. "ten hotdogs and ten cokes?"

"Sure thing." Festus disappeared.

"Hey." Tori approached them. "What have you ordered us?"

"Cokes and one of his specials." Carlos smiled.

"What are the specials?" Tori asked.

"Oh he has the spaghetti, hotdogs." Mal impersonated Festus.

"I love hotdogs." Tori smiled.

"Let her finish!" Jay also impersonated Festus. The five laughed.

"Here you go, bodies." Festus handed the food and drinks to Evie and Carlos. "That will be five dollar." The VK's looked at Jay.

"What?" Jay asked. Mal grabbed his wallet and she handed a five dollar note to Festus. "Mal!"

"You owe us from our first adventure."

"How?"

"When you set off the sand in the Cave of Wonders."

"But I answered the question."

"Not enough." Evie shook her head.

"Fine." Jay put his wallet in his pocket and they walked over to the others.

"Everyone grab a hotdog." Carlos made sure everyone had a coke and a hotdog.

"One time, I thought my hair was purple." Cat smiled.

"One time, I got a scar." Carlos showed them the scar on his thigh.

"Nice." Jade nodded. "How many talent competitions have you guys won?"

"Never been in one. We're more of a goof around while singing." Evie ate her hotdog.

"Woah, look out for hot-stuff." Two girls walked over to Beck.

"Um. Miss. Hi." Cat tapped one on the shoulder. "He has an ex girlfriend who he broke up with, like, ten days ago."

"I don't see her." The girl looked at Cat.

"Now you see her." Jade slapped her.

"It's us, Hayley and Tara." The girl with brown hair growled. "I'm Hayley!"

"Look who it is." Tara smirked. "I thought I smelled failure."

"Then you must be sniffing yourselves." Cat bit into her hotdog.

"Remember when we beat you idiots in the singing competition?" Hayley smirked.

"Remember, don't believe everything your daddy tells you." Cat groaned.

"Like when he tells you you're pretty." Jade pushed them away. The group carried on walking.

"How about another singing competition?" Hayley called. "Us against your leathered friends!"

"Game on." Mal threw her food to the ground so did her friends. Hayley started singing Number One by Ginger Fox.

"Hello? Is everybody watching? Before I get the party started. You know you wanna be invited. So, step right up, and get a taste of what you're biting. Feel the groove when we move on the centre. We'll get it right. Every night. Like we're meant to. When it all goes down, I need to tell ya." Hayley sounded terrible but confident.

"You're gonna love me. You're gonna tell me that you're ready to go. I'm already there look up in the air 'cause I'm the star of the show. I'm number one, baby, always number one baby. So forget what you heard, this is my world." The two girls walked up to the VK's.

"My world revolves around me. Oh oh." Tara smirked.

"My world revolves around me. Oh oh." Hayley shoved Jay.

"Don't think, there's ever someone better. Don't think, you're ever gonna get her. You wish that you could be so clever. Step right up, 'cause you belong to me forever. Feel the groove when we move I'm in the centre. We'll get it right. Every night. Like we're meant to. When It all goes down I need to tell ya." Tara messed up Carlos' hair.

"So forget what you heard, this is my world." The two walked away from them. "My world revolves around me. My world. My world revolves around me. My world." They posed. The VK's started laughing.

"I guess Islers are better than normal people!" Carlos wiped his eyes dry.

"I can't breathe!" Jay grabbed Mal's arm.

"One time, I laughed so hard I snorted." Cat smiled. The VK's ignored her.

"I'm gonna end up snorting!" Mal accidentally snorted.

"Sorry not sorry!" Evie laughed. The VK's calmed down and they started their song.
