Hi! I wanted to dedicate this chapter to CPricila_2005 for being the first person to comment on this book.

Thank you!

I neared the room, thinking of my poor, sharp, deadly babies in my room that need to be sharpened. As I neared the room, I heard voices. Two guys, one girl, excluding the boss' booming voice.

"She will go with you and that's final!" I heard boss yell, and without knocking, I opened the door and stepped into the room.

He had a small, round office with a mahogany desk with messy papers all over it, and a huge spinning chair in which he sat. Behind him was a window with two potted plants beside it on the ledge, the only color in the room.

"I didn't know I caused so much trouble," I said with a straight face, assuming they were talking about me.

I went to go sit in my seat, but as I scanned the room, I realized that all the seats were taken, including the one I usually sat in. I was right, two guys, one girl. One guy, the one with blonde hair, blue eyes, was leaning back casually in his chair, my chair, looking like he wasn't actually paying attention to what was going on.

But I knew better. Everyone payed attention to chief, because if they didn't, they died on the field.

The second guy was the complete opposite. He had dark brown hair and eyes, and was sitting rigid in his seat. I could tell he was nervous because he was shaking his leg like crazy. That, or he really needed to go to the bathroom.

The girl, however, was totally rude. I could tell she thought that she was better than everybody else by her body language. It was really obvious. Not only was she leaning back in her chair nonchalantly, but she had her legs propped up and crossed at the ankles on the desk, with her hands behind her head, blowing a piece of bubble gum. She looked me dead in the eye, and I looked back stoically. She obviously thought she was intimidating, but she looked like a mouse if anything. She then turned away with a blank expression after a minute, and focused back on what chief was saying.

"...did you hear anything I said?"

I looked around the room and saw that everyone was looking at me, and chief had this funny look on his face, where he looked angry that he thought I wasn't listening. The girl flushed a deep shade of red, knowing she didn't listen to what he said, but glad she wasn't caught.

I was pissed that he thought he could jut send me on this assignment after he knew what happened last time.

I've heard of his assignment. Assignment #428. The dreaded assignment that no one seems to survive. And no one wanted to accept.

Except this dumbass team.

I was about to refuse once more, but when he gave me a look that even I knew not to mess with, I went along with it.

I smirked slightly and leaned my hip on the desk, which I had walked to when I came into the room. I made eye contact with the girl, and she seemed to glare at me. I turned towards the chief and said, "You said that I am to join this team and go on a mission that you cannot explain in detail at the moment. You will give us a file that we will read on the jet on the way to the specific area, because we don't have time. We definitely know that we are going undercover, where is unknown, but we will find out soon. Otherwise, don't die. Did I miss anything?"

Chief looked at me with a blank expression, cleared his throat, and cracked a tiny smile. "That's right. Especially the don't die part."

I was standing by him, so in a lower voice, he told me, "Please cooperate with them. They need you."
