👉👌Luke's POV👌👈

When I woke up that day a smile split my face once I realized what was happening. Conner was going to take me out on a date.

I leaped out of bed and got ready energetically, showering and brushing my teeth while humming and dancing. I soon found myself furrowed deep into the closet.

Conner hadn't told me where we were going exactly. The only thing that I knew about the location was that I should dress casually while we were gone since we would be spending the whole day together.

I settled on a pair of dark blue jeans that, you guessed it, hugged my ass. If Conner really liked the large lump that I sat on and pooped out of then I will give him as much ass as possible.

I pulled out a Blue Jays shirt and looked at myself in the mirror, smiling at the reflection. I floated down the steps and sashayed towards the dining to room table to join my mom for breakfast

"Good morning." I sped over to the dining table and dropped into my seat before I cheerfully greeted my mom.

She was startled by my energetic appearance but decided to smile instead of addressing it negatively. That did not mean that she would ignore my mood all together. I knew that from the amused smile she was wearing.

"Well you seem happy," she commented teasingly. I hummed in response, shrugging my shoulders.

"I guess so," I struggled to contain my smile but it only took a few seconds for me to break and grin even harder. "I'm going on a date today Mom!"

Recognition passed over her face but before she could speak my sister ran into the room.

"You guys are going on a date?!" She screamed suddenly.

I winced and covered my ears when I heard her voice. I had to stop eating my cereal just to protect my poor ears from her screaming.

"Lauren, why are yo-"

"How come I did not know about this?" she asked, cutting me off with ease. She cooed loudly then ran over to me, pulling me into her boobs and hugging me.

"Aw, my little brother brodah has a boyfwend!" She sang annoyingly.

My mother burst out laughing while I went tomato, grumbling into Lauren's shirt.

My sister held me like that for a moment more before I got fed up.

"Lauren! Are you done suffocating me?" I was wriggling in her arms but she acted as if I hadn't said a word.

"Nope," she answered immediately. I cried in sadness while she heartily laughed.

"I'm joking, you can go."

I was released from her hold and I took in a greedy breath of stale air. Lauren gave me a shove while I took another bite of my cereal.

"You're so freaking extra."

I made a shocked expression at her comment but my whole family knew that it was true.

"You do realize that you just hugged me to your chest for five minutes just to make a joke," I deadpanned. Lauren only shrugged and headed off to get her own bowl of cereal but I knew that Lauren was just as extra as me if not more so.

I shook my head but continued to eat my breakfast anyway.

"So do you know where he is going to take you?" My mom asked eagerly. I shook my head no.

"No, Conner wanted it to be a surprise," I explained. "But it is going to be interesting because we will be out the whole day, so I'm pretty excited."

My mom just nodded with a smile on her face but my sister 'ooed' from the kitchen.

"Must have something nice planned, then," Lauren thought aloud as she walked back over to the dining table with her cereal in hand. Lauren was once again throwing her opinion in but I knew that the act of budding where you don't belong was common in our family, it was what made us us, so I ignored it and just nodded at my sister's words.

"I hope so," I was smiling at that point, I was smiling the whole time really. Because I lived with them my whole life, I was prepared for my mother and sister to use it as fuel for their teasing and, in the future, gossiping while I was not around.

Half an hour later I was all set to go, my family was also ready to completely embarrass both Conner and I once Conner set foot onto our front porch. My father came down for breakfast much later than the rest of us, after all of the previous date discussion was over and my mother and sister were finished thoroughly gathering all the information that they wanted. But they dug all of that information right back up and threw just about every last detail on my dad.

On any other day the man probably wouldn't care. But today I–Luke Chang, his beloved, favorite, and only son–would be going on a date, and that had my father at full attention.

And then, the doorbell rang.

We snapped all of our attention to the front door before turning back to give challenging glares to one another. Lauren and I made a mad dash to the front door while my parents had their own little scuffle behind us, fighting to be the first adult that would greet Conner when he entered our house. Lauren and I struggled against each other for a long time, shoving and pushing, using nearby walls and leverage to push back against the other, when I was finally able to push her away from the door and open it. Conner had his phone in hand when I opened the door and was startled to have me standing in front of him so suddenly.

"Hi," he smiled in relief, his face softening as he gazed at me. His expression was actually so beautiful that I had to take a moment to catch the breath that escaped me when he made it.

"Hi," I repeated. We stared at each other for a while, time seemed to stand still as we looked at one another, and Conner had started to bring his hand up to my cheek and bring his face even closer to mine when a throat was excessively cleared behind us. I sighed in disappointment and turned to see my sister grinning triumphantly.

"You'll have the whole day with him, Conner. I'm sure waiting until you are on his front porch or in his house to kiss him is fine," she explained to Conner with a smirk on her face. Conner suddenly could not look her in the eyes and I, like always, was blushing.

I moved out of the way so that Conner could walk in and find my parents standing perfectly side by side. Even their backs were both bone straight and I wondered if they had ever been this petty in the past. Conner seemed to notice but didn't say anything else as he smiled.

"Good morning Mrs. and Mr. Chang, thank you for allowing Luke to go out on a date with me," he told them respectfully. He went to shake my dad's hand but my dad never even gave him his hand. Conner looked nervous for a second until my dad reeled him in for a bear hug.

"Why so serious? We've met before, relax Conner," my father laughed carelessly. Conner chuckled along with my dad and calmed down. The four of us talked in the foyer for around 15 minutes, laughing wholeheartedly and sounding like we did this every Sunday morning, but Conner out of instinct checked his phone and mumbled out a curse under his breath.

"I'm so sorry but we really should be leaving if we want to be on schedule," he apologized. My mother waved him off warmly, shaking her head at his apology.

"No no, it is completely fine," she assured him. Conner gave his thanks repeatedly before speedily dragging me out of the house. My mom always the helpful women threw me my shoes and my dad made sure to hand me a jacket as well. So, as Conner and I hauled ass, I was holding my stuff and walking in my socks across the road. Even then I continued to beam and when we were seated inside of the car I looked over and noticed that Conner looked just the same.
