One day turned into another and this time Logan had an idea.

He had seen her enough to know she held the same red covered book every week, reading it as she would sit their waiting for her destination. His hands slipped into his pockets to make sure it was their, and it was....

A single folded piece of paper he had written on for her. He had curiously searched the title of book and one poem came up. His friends found it weird he made it a — necessity — to ride the train every Thursday as if she could lose the girl, if she were to stop riding the train. He watched her the entire song, eyes hopeful.

Is time he was going to get off the stope one before hers. He was going to beat his fears and hand her the piece of paper. After all, sometimes written words are better than the best spoken sentence.
"Now arriving at Alamo station" the automated voice spoke.

Her eyes pretended to read the book, but in reality she watched as the bleached boy shot up from his seat and started to make his way towards the door. Ever so convinced, she was sat next to the door. As the doors opened he quickly pulled his hands out of his pockets pulling out a neatly folded piece of paper.

Passing her quite nervously he dropped the piece of paper on her lap without making eye contact, he left the train. Roman stared at the not in her lap curiously.

Might he have dropped it on accident?

No of course not, it was to convenient.

Picking it up she unfolded it to see the sloppy loopy hand writing.

"The black swallows will return
To hang their nests on your balcony
And once again will knock in play
Against your window panes ;"

'The black swallows will return' - Gustavo Aldofo.
Her favorite poem, also the poem in her book. She read on and then she noticed the last sentence at the bottom of the paper. She chuckled to herself.

'Hi please don't think I'm weird but, I think you're beautiful and my name is Logan'

She pulled out a pen from her bag to write a response on the back of the paper.

It was the fourth Thursday.
