2. The One Where Rose Gets Fired

It's been about three weeks since I've moved in with Rachel and Monica and I couldn't be more happy. I've become really good friends with Monica and phoebe and I've even been looking for an apartment of my own.

I walked into Central Perk and ordered an iced tea.
"Hey guys" I smiled taking a seat on the couch beside Chandler and Phoebe.
"Hey whats up?" Phoebe smiled.
"Uhh nothing." I shrugged as Gunther
gave me my iced tea.
I thanked him then I turned to the rest of the group.

As Monica was talking about a date she had tonight Chandler nudged me. I turned to look at him to see him point at my iced tea. I smiled and handed my cup to Chandler to let him have a drink.
"Thanks" he smiled handing me back my cup.

"Listen guys I would love to stay and talk but I have a photo shoot today" I said standing up.
"See ya later" Phoebe waved.
"Bye" Ross smiled. I waved and walked out of the cafe.

I couldn't believe it. I could not believe it. I was so upset I could almost cry.
I walked into the apartment very upset to see everyone hanging out and laughing. When I walked in everyone's heads turned and smiled.
"Hey Rose" Rachel said getting up.
"Hi" I mumbled throwing my purse on the table.

"What's wrong?" Joey asked.
I went and stood in front of the TV making sure to face all of them.
"I got fired." I whimpered.
"What? Why?" Ross asked.
"They ah.. they.. they fired me because ah.. they said I'm too fat" I cried.
"WHAT?!" Everyone practically screamed.
"It's fine. I'm fine really." I faked a smile.

"Rach can I borrow your room. I'm gonna take a nap or something" I tried to hold back the tears. Before Rachel could answer I walked into her room and closed the door. Sitting down on the side of the bed and resting my head in my hands.

I heard a few muffled voices out side of the door then the door opened and closed. I looked up to see Chandler.
"Hey" Chandler said as he sat down beside me and started to rub my back.
"No matter what anybody says you are not fat. You are gorgeous and-and an amazing person.

I looked up at him.
"Thanks Chandler" I smiled.
"Come here" Chandler said motioning for me to sit with him against the wall.
I moved back and sat beside Chandler as he lifted his arm and wrapped it around me pulling me closer trying to comfort me.

I guess I must have fallen asleep because when I woke up I was still in Rachel's room with a blanket on me and my shoes off. I rubbed my eyes and sat up. I changed out of the clothes from yesterday and into black jeans and a red blouse.

I walked out of Rachel's room to see Phoebe and Monica sitting on the couch.
"Morning Rose" Phoebe patted the spot beside her and Monica. I sat beside Phoebs as Monica got up to get me a cup of coffee.

Monica sat down and handed me a cup.
"Thank Mon" I smiled taking it out of her hand.
"Where's everybody?" I asked looking around.

"Ah Rachel and Ross are at work, Joeys in his apartment watching Baywatch and Chandlers out grocery shopping" Monica smiled taking a sip of her coffee.

"Oh ok" I smiled then frowning thinking about last night and why I was fired but then smiling again thinking about what Chandler said.

"What's got you all smily?" Phoebe asked nudging me.
Monica laughed.
"Probably Chandler after what he said about her last night" Monica smiled.
I turned my head to look at Monica.
"What did he say?" I asked getting a little excited.

"He said that you make him feel something that he's never felt before. A feeling of comfort" Monica smiled.

"Really?" I asked smiling thinking about chandler. If I had to admit I did start to develop feelings for chandler but I also didn't want to ruin our friendship.

"Yes really!" Phoebe nudged my side.
All I did was smile.
