-Year 2003-

"Yuyuuuuu!!! Don't go in there!! It's scary!!! ",  Hoseok trembled in tears as he hid behind the door.

"You are such a coward...", I went back to him and held his wrist.  "Lets go and find out if the story was true!!!"

"I'm just a kid!  What can a nine-year-old boy do?!", he demanded as he effortly tried to remove my hands from him.

Seriously,  this kid has no future.  He says he wanted to be a detective one day, but look at him? His butt still sits on his mama's lap. He can't even do anything without me.

I deeply sighed. "Jung Hoseok... We are just going to check if there was really a treasure hidden here. There's nothing scary here!". I dragged him to the door.

"WAIT!!  Yumi!!  I think I heard something behind that room!!", he tried to flee from me.

My hand reached the room's door knob,  and before I even enter the room, Hoseok screamed in fear.

"HOSEOK CAN YOU PLEASE SHUT THAT MO--" I stopped as I heard a deep growl at the far end of the room.

It grew louder... closer.

And when we saw it, there was nothing we could do but run.

-Two days later-

"I told you not to go in there... ", he sat beside my bed.

"Stop it Hoseok...  If it wasn't for your shitty scream, that dog wouldn't wake up to run after us... We should have checked if there was really a treasure or not... ", I folded my arms showing him how frustrated I am.

"Really Yumi?  You were already bitten by that dog and you're still going on with that treasure?", he sighed as he looked at my bandaged leg.

"This is nothing...  When we get older,  we're going to face even more frightening and cruel things out there!  If you're going to stay like that Hoseok,  you're never going to be a detective!!", I reprimanded him like a parent.

He remained silent. I looked at him, and thought if he was crying. I knew he was going to.  He's such a cry baby.

"I was so scared,  Yumi.... ", he broke the silence. "I was so scared that something might happen to you!  And it did!  I was so scared that you might get hurt because of your mischief!! Look what happened now!", he faced me. He was crying...

But it felt different. He scared me for a second.

I wasn't able to answer back at him that time.  Days, months, years have passed,  and that day flew as a memory I would never forget.
