~ Daehyun's POV ~

After Himchan left, Jongup was sitting at his desk writing a letter. I entered the room. I heard them talking. I heard what he said about this Himchan guy.

Daehyun: My cousin, huh?

Jongup: You were at home?

Daehyun: This guy is my cousin?

Jongup nodded. He was a bit confused why I was so upset.

Daehyun: I still have family members who are alive and still I lived on the streets? Fighting to survive everyday? Where the hell was he all the time? Why didn't my mother told me of him?

Jongup: You don't remember anything, right?

I looked down. He was right. I don't remember her at all.

Daehyun: No...there's nothing...

Jongup: You will remember when time comes.

Daehyun: How long does he know he's my cousin?

Jongup: Since today...

Daehyun: Today?

Jongup: He didn't know either. He got banished out of his clan before anyone was able to tell him about your mother being pregnant.

Daehyun: Why did he get banished?

Jongup: Because he's a death angel, like you are.

Daehyun: But why he got so scared when he saw me when he didn't know me? And how did he know there were two death angels when he only knows about himself?

Jongup: The sign behind your ear... He saw that you are a death angel but he didn't know you. That scared him. And it was him who turned Yongguk into one.

Daehyun: He?...like me?

Jongup: Exactly...

I sighed and left the room. I had to process all of this. A mew family member, who made the same mistake I did. Who was lonely aswell...But still, I don't like him even if I can't tell why.

Jongup took up his pen again and continued writing with a sigh.

I went outside for a walk to think about the conversation with Jongup. I needed some fresh air and time alone. Alone was how I loved to be. I was alone more than half of my life. No one tells you what to do, no one annoys you, no one blames you for anything, you can just do whatever you want to do. That's why I love being alone.

Suddenly I saw a man walking towards me. It was Himchan. Of all people living in Askania, why does it have to be him. I looked down on purpose to not spot him.

Daehyun: Never is he part of my family...

Himchan recognized me and stopped walking but I passed him without looking up. I want to be alone...

Himchan: Daehyun?

I ignored him.

Himchan: Daehyun, I...

I looked to the other side. Himchan turned around as I passed him but I just walked faster to escape this situation.

Himchan looked down and continued walking with his head down, accepting I don't need him in my life.
