    Violet Parr is a fourteen year old girl that is socially withdrawn, often feeling out of place and having low self-esteem — but she is not your typical teenager. Her and her family have superpowers that for years they've kept hidden due to society seeing the Supers (people with superpowers) as outcasts. The world isn't ready to accept them, and Violet fears the idea of the world discovering she is a Super too. That all changed however when Wilbur Robinson appeared to her time of 1965 in a time machine. On a spontaneous trip by himself, he happened to bump into Violet when she was outside her school one day. For a while they had kept their secrets from one another, Violet having superpowers and Wilbur being from the future. It didn't take long however until the two became friends, realizing their similarities. At this point, Wilbur would make trips to her time whenever he could, wanting to see her. Eventually, the two told each other their secrets, seeing as they've become extremely close and have built trust in their friendship. Wilbur was astounded by the powers Violet and her family had, she even showed him what she was capable of. Violet was awestruck to learn that Wilbur had a time machine and was from the future, basically a whole new world. Wilbur even took her on a trip to show her his time, which in her eyes, was basically a whole new world. Over a period of time, their friendship soon turned into a blossoming romance, the two slowly falling for each other. This however wasn't a good thing they soon realized. They both wanted each other, but it was dangerous. The two were from completely different timelines, one slight mistake and they could ruin the worlds they've known. As for Violet being a Super, she feared what would happen to Wilbur if she accidentally slipped up and exposed her powers, she didn't want anything bad to happen to him just for being around her. Some could say they were star-crossed lovers. Wilbur was searching for a way to make things work, but Violet was already trying to shut the idea down, that they could never happen — no matter how much they wanted it to.
One day the two decided to sneak out. Wilbur brought his time machine to pick her up, and away they travelled to another year in the future. Eventually, at the end of their night checking out the place and just having fun like any friends would, they ended up at a place where it was karaoke night. Violet was fine just eating and listening to the people on stage since she never liked being the center of attention, but Wilbur with his outgoing personality wanted her to go up on stage with him. After many attempts of him trying to get her to go up on stage with him, she finally agreed just to shut him up. Violet and Wilbur looked at the song book, and Violet didn't recognize a lot of the songs in it since she was before their time.

"Hey Vi, we should do this one.", Wilbur said, pointing at a song in the book.

"Well sure I guess, I don't really know it though." She replied, looking at the page with a shrug.

"Don't worry! You'll do great! If you get lost, just follow my lead — I got this song down." Wilbur said, tapping his head where his brain was.

      Violet just nodded, butterflies in her stomach as she realized what she was about to do. The crowd was large, all staring at the current girl who was up on stage singing some country song. She didn't notice Wilbur went to put in the song request, and before long, she was being basically dragged to the stage by an overly excited Wilbur Robinson. Violet gulped as she saw the previous singer leaving the stage.

"Wilbur are you sure about this? Shouldn't we get back to our homes? Our parents are probably worried about us and I—".

"Vi, we have all the time in the world! Literally! So there's no need to worry about any of that." Wilbur replied with a laugh. "I just figured this would be fun, we've never done this together so it'll be something new, I'm sure you'll like it once you give it a try!", he said. "Plus, I picked this song especially for us, so trust me, there is nothing to worry about.".
